I was smitten with her silent air,
I thought she was so grand,
I saw her dewy decimal place,
I felt through her shelves by hand.
Her scent was unmistakable,
her voice did murmur low,
the smell of education,
the knowledge that she showed.
She told me stories of grand design,
of war and peace and love,
I heard epic tales of sadness,
I plunged the depths, I flew above.
Lots of time was spent in travels,

About me
I have had a library-card since I was twelve, when I read Bram Stoker's Dracula in three days. I read mostly Sci-Fi these days but do enjoy a good book no matter what the genera. I paint with black-light paints, collect things, [my wife says I'm a hoarder], have three grown sons, some grandchildren, I am retired, I used to ride a motorcycle, [still have my 1985 Honda Interceptor 500], do arty stuff like taking apart old toys and putting them back together in ways they weren't intended, to make funny stuff. I have been married to my third wife since 1989. [Lord knows how I've managed that!] I like taking pictures, I love dogs. I have been a member of Neo since before "The Crash". I love Neopoet for all the wonderful poets here at the site, and have made many, many friends here. ~ Geezer.
