I've been writing poetry since I was around 11 years old, but I didn't begin to write proficiently until I joined a poetry site which eventually changed its set up and lost its following. That's when I found Neopoet. I was trying to find a new poetry site that created the same sense of community that I had found at the previous site. Needless to say, I found it and have been here ever since. I've been on the site for about 4 or so years and have made some really good online friends here. So far I have one book of poetry published under my previously married name of Misty Christian - the title is Transcendental Gateways. I'm currently working on my next manuscript. I work in law enforcement, currently working on getting my degree in Chemistry, and I'm a mommy of the sweetest little boy and little girl in the whole world. ;-)
