A Mixture of Colors

You are a piece of what you read,
the TV you watch.
You are the words you speak and
your thoughts.

You are a sum of the music you hear,
people you meet.
You are electrical impulses and a
heartbeat.

You are conversations you have,
the dreams you dream.
You are the Mountains, Valleys, and
the streams.

You are a little piece of each of
these.
You get in life there are no
guarantees.

You are the wind blowing,
the sound of the ocean.
You are thoughts, words, actions
and devotion.

You are the brightest light in the
darkest place.
You are a look of confusion and
A poker face.

You are a mixture of experience and
emotion.
You are the tears you cry,
words unspoken.

You are a vast sea of knowledge and
existence.
You are close by and you are the
distance.

You are a contrast of Family, Friends and
lovers.
You are UNIQUE and a mixture of
many colors.

You are close by and you are the
distance.

As simple as that line is…it’s really deep and it hits something in me that I use as a place of inspiration. Maybe because I got so far away from myself yet I was standing right there, maybe it’s the obsessive infatuation I have for my wife that makes her seem so far when we’re in the same room.

I’m not sure exactly, but I leaked a few tears on that line. It’s a thing of simplistic beauty.

Oh my I'm sorry you teared up. I feel the same way about my wife. Close by and the distance. Thank you for reading and replying>
