One Fulani Woman
One Fulani
Woman stands
with only her tongue
with strange hands
and a choked heart full of palm poems
gathering shamans
scurrying a foot
to witness one Fulani woman
her backless dress
a long neck, chick pea chest
peeping two points thru engaged fabric
agile flow below extended lure
a chasm between
bayonet sapphire's like dangling participle
the rhapsodist a slight before the I
offering a review of her hieroglyphics
warming air around the warrior insitu
elegant tucks of his Hia Qing
a careful tendering of earth blossom
he arched an eternity discovering
one Fulani woman

made me sweat
talk about a act of wanting something bad, a beautiful Goddess you have created here.
I could see the whole ritual.
nice piece of off center writing. I like how you structured it.

I loved this story of the Fulani woman of West Africa, I wish there were more writings on different cultures as this would open up the world to others.
I have been trying to get Ref (Iboro Offong) to do this as some of his poetry is like a history of his lands and people the other parts are of his feelings.
This is a lovely picture of one facet of a people that has brought me to learn of their ways, thank you again for such a write, Yours Ian.T

Wow, loved this, strong & eloquent, such wonderfully evocative descriptions in a simple story. A masterful image of what seemed like an almost frozen moment.
Great job here.
