Bearing down onto a broken lens

A man bounded
behind a
broken lens.
Peering
upon a weary
world mounded
on uneven ends.
Passionately
persistent
to pry for
the bashful
beauty buried
beneath the
human eye.

Hello, Edward,
I like this one very much, and I'll share my interpretation which I realize may not be your intent. This speaks to me about seeking the depth in people, looking beyond all our brokenness, our uneven qualities and virtues and seeing the beauty in each other. It's wonderful! I am curious, as usual, to your intent.
Thank you!
L

I was inspired by two things I got the idea of the poem while listening to the song called Vincent and a scene from the movie Alice in the cities.

Which gave me the idea of a man who tries to see the beauty of the world through a broken lens or after the persons perspective has gone through the process of disillusionment .

Hlm life without literature is a life without logic.
