Surprising how things come to one. My wife said something to me this morning, a bit of gossip which had no interest to me. When I didn't respond she said 'Closed your ears again?' Those few lines just leapt out and I had to write them down right away. Now I look at them and they seem to relate to a lot of people. Alex

I may not be able to completely understand, but I make a labored attempt to listen! I thought that this idea was simple though very beautiful. Great job picking up on external cues! Thanks for sharing.

The power of our language can and will change the world.
Successively until our languages become one!

Thanks for your comments Night. Alex

gave me food for thought, and I ate though my mouth was closed, and I became full with the idea. ~ Geezer.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

I saw with my eyes closed and with my heart I mapped it's face. Visions fill my head.

Don't blame me Geezer started it lol, I absolutely love this poem!!

I think we do all of those things. I think people listen even though they appear to have closed their ears ..they simply don't respond but think about it during and after. Seeing with our eyes closed, I think is a bit more complicated. When we turn a blind eye, we tend to miss the bigger picture which can lead to disastrous consequences. Speaking without opening our mouths, yes our body language and facial expressions can say so much more than our words at times. Thank you for giving me something to reflect on.

I liked your poem, makes you think.
What is the form using 3 lines, 7 syllables called?

Thanks for your comment and in answer to your question I don't have the faintest Idea. Alex.
