The Walk

As I went out for a walk today,
I saw three kids outside at play.
Their screams and laughter was of pure delight,
It made me smile at the very sight.

Then I wondered as I walked past,
How much longer will this world last.
Will the air they breath still be free,
When they become as old as me.

Will it still be safe to be out on the street,
And will they always have enough to eat.
Will they still be allowed to feel emotion,
Or speak their mind when they get the notion.

Can they own a house and make it a home,
Will it still be legal to write a poem.
Will a boy be a lad and a girl be a lass,
Can they still have a picnic outside on the grass.

But then again maybe things will be better,
If we all may have gotten our shit together.
No more famine or senseless wars,
Between nations still trying to settle scores.

Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

The poem "The Walk" effectively captures the contemplative mood of the speaker during their walk, reflecting on the future and the world that the children playing outside will inherit. The use of simple, straightforward language helps convey the message clearly.

One suggestion for improvement would be to consider varying the rhyme scheme or meter to add more depth and complexity to the poem. This could help create a more dynamic flow and engage the reader further. Additionally, exploring more vivid imagery or specific details could enhance the reader's connection to the themes presented in the poem. This could help evoke stronger emotions and make the message more impactful.
