Can't Help It

I wish I could,
But I can’t help it.

The way I feel,
The unshakable dreadful feelings that I feel.

Maybe if I just told you,
It would all go away.

All my hopes and dreams,
Somehow always point to you.

I suddenly would go any where in the world,
If it meant I could be with you.

I wish I could shake the feeling,
Maybe then I wouldn’t feel so guilty.

I want to experience life,
But it’s hard to not wish you were with me.

I would flip my world upside down,
Just for you.

I’d tell the world who I am,
Despite all the people who’d walk away,
If it meant I could be with you.

I wish I could,
But I can’t help it,
To not think of you.

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
Is the internal logic consistent?

I’m sorry you’ve got the deep longing you feel like you can’t fulfill. The fear of rejection is one thing and the feeling like you’re living less than your truth based on external forces another. Both can be crushing. I like your writing, I can sense the purpose. If you want to talk sometime my inbox is open. These particular issues are sort of personal to me as well and I hate to think anyone is out there going through this alone without support. It’s an open invitation and comes with no expectation.

I think it’s good you’re writing these thoughts down and it’s even more important that you’re sharing. Thanks for letting us have a peek inside. I’ll speak for the others, we like what we see.
