Ballad For The Loveless
I’ll pen my words soft
As she stands in the shadows,
Her presence inspires and sets my soul free,
I’ll sing to the Sunlight,
I’ll sing to the moonbeam,
I’ll sing my song glad for a love that should be.
I sense her each night
As she stands in the shadows.
How near yet how far can a love ever be?
So I’ll sing to the rain
And I’ll sing to the rainbow
And sing for the day my love comes close to me.
Will love flourish and grow
Like the roses in summer?
Or wither and die like the bronzed Autumn leaves?
Still I’ll sing to the moon and
I’ll look to the shadows
And wait till my Angel emerges for me.

Very good...
singing.
If you sing well enough, she will reveal herself to you. I hope it happens soon; everyone needs a little love.
This is almost like a prayer sung every night.
Nice... ~ Geezer.

Ballad For The Loveless
Hello, Alex,
I feel the longing and hope for love in this piece. The shadows are well visualized, and I can sense the Angel just beyond. Very nice.

Damn
That’s good poetry. Song lyrics methinks? Excellent and timeless theme. Superb rhythm and pattern. Very interesting and smooth. Great rhyme. I love it.
It needs a chorus. What have you got??
I’m very impressed,

A Chorus.
Thank you Tim, very interesting comments. Took me ages to get as I wanted, but a chorus never occurred to me. I'll give it some serious thought, and suggestions would be welcome.
