It's A Miracle...

I thought the word was marvelous
and so, I wrote it down
Then I looked to see
and the word was really miraculous
Now, what do I do?
I just change the word I thought was marvelous
to make it miraculous
and send it right off to you.

Now, before I send it this time
I will check to make quite sure
that it really is miraculous
and not marvelous
so, I can change it before I do

Miraculous Marvels

Miraculous marvels,
A state of mind,
A state of being,
A state of thought.

Miraculous marvel made by one,
Through actions of good conscience,
Meeting up with luck,
Creating a powerful combination.

Fate has also dealt its hand,
As miraculous marvels are only so often,
That they make one appreciate such things,
As they are not ordinary nor commonplace.

A Lover's Green Tree

The green tree, the one in the backyard
With the durable trunk,
and the legs that kick towards the moon
Green, lovely and heaven blessed curves
Succulent and unforgiving

Oh, the round beetroot sides of her
Oh, the sensitive shivering purr
My green tree, my lovely green tree
I always long for the green tree

Finality of limit

Petty fights erupt on the film skin
of our tiny spinning rocky ball,
The hate invective screamed into
an envelope of clinging air so thin
it can’t be heard
above the limit of the wind
at all

The wide-eyed malicious evil grin
of those who love to make others crawl
in the slow dance of benighted war
while just beyond the planet’s spin
bright peace of mind
waits for the solar wind unwind
of all

Children of Never

I’m learning to live with what I can get to
Not strangled by the things I don’t
The things I didn’t do today
They can’t own me anymore
Escrow for tomorrow’s fun
Or become children of never
Oh, to love both like my own

Despair

Despair

Alexander's Clover

a loss truly felt
Whose rings weren’t made of gold
Whose brain was covered in sod
You never heard a word of it

I knew a place
To gather glimpses of soul
I listened again and again
But let go before I ever caught hold

Brain sod
His absence was loud but
much less than doubt

360°

Dust choked mirror reflects dark sunken
orbs beneath crescent moon halves
mutated skin wrists hang from frail
fractured limbs of tormented sinew

I've been here before & I know the routine
I've seen this before & I know what it means

Luna disc penetrates silver shards
across splintered boards of decline
concentric circles of aching frown sends
ripped muscles into relentless spasm

a Woman's Scorn (sonnet)

If all that can be known, that I should rise
to amaranthine art in Holy light
to stand aligned just so, before His eyes
but by a luscious fruit and simple bite

And by a serpent's tongue, should I concede
releasing inhibitions borne within
So, should I share this fruit with mine to seed
that we can test the punishment of sin

Let blushing bride let slip the viper by!
engorged with racing blood and poison spit
Let garden tear as innocence would die
displaced by earthly weight He deems befit

A Sonny Disposition

A Sonny Disposition

Awoken by the Sun, no alarm clock needed
And no need for Westminster chimes
Sonny gets up and like clockwork’s reminded
That curtains waste valuable time

Sonny’s disposition is as sunny as his name
No melancholy viewpoints, no cause to complain
With rose-tinted glasses, of life he’s not tired
Forever optimistic - the way his brain’s wired
