THE RISK OF LOVE

Your love connotes
endless entanglement
I'm finding way to exit
your feeling is a hot fire
I can't quench your craving

The Ride

I hear the sound of your distant tears falling

I can feel your broken heart as it is calling

I jump onto my trusty horse, and I ride

I long to be back again by your loving side

I want to feel once again your soft lips

Feel my arms around your curving hips

Rain nor beast can slow my horse down

As I ride through dark forests and towns

When I reach you, we will never part again

As we love our love that has no end

Her Guitar Cries...

"This is a Man's World",turns her on
she wonders at the chills
Despairing of finding love
she plays guitar to pay the bills

Cool voice heating up the room
and she steady stares
Closes her eyes and dreams of him
letting go her cares

Shaggy hair and darkest eyes
smoothest olive-skin
shake those slow hips, baby
twist her soul again

Deepest hole that she can find
only crawling out to play
Dreaming, playing, waiting
Getting by, just one more day

Legion

If your god got it right
For once in her life
I wouldn’t need words
To convince you tonight
I wouldn’t need hands
To trace supple curve
I’d bend and then blend
Every sinew and nerve
My mind would be yours
My will would be known
Marrow would melt
And bleed out of bone
Our sky would be scarlet
Our ground would be gray
The wolves in our night
Would be held at bay
Love would be legion
Wars would be won
The poison you drank
Would now be undone
If your god could see us

The Hand Remembers

The weight of earth piled on
I lay under this barrow, mine
Trapped beneath the gravity
Created by my mind

So I picked up my pen
I let the words to pages flow
Guiding me to inner light
A former me I’ve longed to know

So I loved my paint and brush
Kissed canvases at early dawn
Invoking peace and deep insights
A former me is now reborn

So I cradled my guitar
The world around my heart did sing
Thinking of the timeless notes
Astounded by the joy they bring

One of Those Days

Thick air
Heavy heart
My mind isn't sure
Where to start

I opened up
And let you in
To take up real estate
Inside my head

Feelings I had buried
Cauterized by hate
Reconnected for the moment
And then dropped on my face

Will I ever learn
What I really am
And that love
Is one big scam

AS and WHEN

I compose
as and when
mostly sleeping
else dreaming

if it's good
some say so
others display their woe

So I come to know
Poetry is like a cobweb of a spider
he continues till the end
when he has lapped up all the saliva

off he sleeps
till the wind slams at him
so be it so
do as you know

many will cry off and on
pups and pops
ah cats
just run along
Ding dong

going going gone
GONG!

The Proud Chinese I am

Far away from the endless blue sky
There stand the magnificent Great Wall built
Above is the high-peak mountain scenery
With the outstanding spectacular view
Signify the unity and strength
Of the motherland
that proud to carry on the legacy
that it symbolizes for
persistent and courage
With hard work and determination
through the collaborative effort
That dream can come true
anything is possible to pursue
with a mindset and inspirational goal
to achieve its purpose

The unheard hound

The hurriedly hushed
hound who
passionately persists
to pant and pound
out his hazy half hummed howl
holding its pale painted
point into view .
Wishing that each
and every word
would be like
a blissful
bird of buoyant blue.
gracefully growing
up firm fresh
and free.

Favorite Wintery Memory... Neopoet Random challenge

My circulation wasn't like sludge
back in those winter days
Although I was fully-grown
I hadn't changed my playful ways

My kids and half the neighborhood
would pile into my van
armed with sleds and tire-tubes
gloves, for frozen hands

The slopes resounded with our shouts
and tumbles down the hill
Who can forget those great winter days?
I know I never will

The time we set the world on fire
our bon-fire was too big
All at once the fire department
was there with their biggest rig
