The Day We Were Born

With an ancient power,
This day you were born,
On that exact minute and hour,
Our undying affection was sworn.

With a cry of the purest emotion,
You came into this life,
And tears fell into the ocean,
Of a fate you were destined twice.

And the heavens slowly opened up,
As the perfect miracle descended,
There are no words to accurately put,
How high our spirits ascended.

Once Upon A Time (challenge)

Once upon a time
I had parents to love me

My past brings up a mixed bag of emotions
That fill my dreams at night
I learn about what I have lost
And what I had gained

I lost my parents
And remember their loving care
They encouraged me to work, to learn
To obey the commandments

They taught me about loving my
Brothers and sisters and my neighbors
They taught me respect for others
They taught me to believe in myself

My Dependency

My city is cold and the wind is big
The thatch and trees blow off their leaves
As the blooming flowers taste the splendour of the earth.
I have kissed the river with pleasure,
Its beauty which I treasure
Having a good night sleep in the forest
When darkness is humming happily along with the croak of my throat
I have hugged the mountains if I would never do
I have bowed and prayed as if I was a saint
And extended my loving hand when I cared.
I have cared for the tree for its shade
Under which I take a refuge

The One Who Got Away

You might have been my breath,
the offbeat of my heart, the pause

before I speak, the warm sensation
I feel as I walk in the sun.

I may have known you better,
known you as I know sand beneath

my feet, or water as it courses through
my fingers, or the heaviness of my eyes

as I fight to stay awake while writing this poem
about you, to you, for you.

We could have been overlapping shadows
meandering along the grasses, softly settling within the dusk,

Discover Your Place

As we dance life energies flow through our form,
With healing loving essences so blissful and warm,
Replenishing the aura where it is damaged and torn,
Restoring our inner radiance where broken and worn,

The pure hope and freedom resonating in our beings,
Dissolving away the pain and torment that we have seen,
To satisfy the inspiration of our soul is now our only need,
In the dawn of a new tomorrow we plant this fresh seed.

I was lucky

You know what?
I was a wanderer with a penchant,
A hankering, and an inclination to write.
It never matter much before today.
Just lost words transmitted into thin air,
Like drying hieroglyph figments
unveiling themselves within my mind.

A weary hitchhiker sifting through the internet highway.
I was lucky to have found Neo poet,
A storage house for my inner most,
It is becoming as dear as
The closeness I have to my notebook.

Fallible

I am a man named fallible
Been wrong on all accounts
I’ve never kept a ledger of
The dates or the amounts

I operate on impulse
It often leads astray
I try to quantify results
I’m trying harder every day

I recognize the patterns
From which I’m stepping back
I cultivate new habits
To help me stay on track

I made new friends with patience
Who brought humility
I am a man named fallible
Because that man is me

Stricken with anguished nausea

Written three years ago tomorrow,
yet superimposed (likened to
emotional palimpsest) upon
mental state of yore
recent post traumatic stress
triggered courtesy war
torn legally tendered greenbacks,
where enemy bonded, heisted, and netted
mine life savings, he
(who fabricated conspiracy
implicating Citizens Bank employees,
whereby I fell for
hook, line and sinker)

Sunday Morning (Describe a Sunday Morning Contest)

I open my windows to let the cool breeze flow through.
My walls are bathing in the sun.
I sit at the table with hot tea in my favorite cup.

The kids are playing and giggling
as I sit and soak in the joy.

It’s my perfect Sunday morning...

Astronauts Of Nibiru

As the galaxies spin in their subtle grace,
And as conscious beings contemplate the stars,
The astronaut psychics of the human race,
Were projecting their minds to worlds off far.

Interstellar beings with their unique powers,
Enlightened spirits of interstellar design,
Solar eclipses and night-time meteor showers,
A perfection of grace to starlight refined.
