pot plant love

“You drowned me and I forgot to water you”
The last thing you said to me before you left
For the last time
And my friends still ask who
Are you and why
I am the way I am

I gave you my all
And im sorry that your lush roots liked mine shrivelled

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

The poem "pot plant love" conveys a sense of loss and regret through the metaphor of a neglected plant in a relationship. The imagery of drowning and forgetting to water symbolizes the imbalance and eventual end of the connection. The line "I gave you my all" expresses a deep emotional investment that was not reciprocated, leading to feelings of inadequacy and sorrow.

To strengthen the poem, consider expanding on the emotions and experiences that led to this outcome. Delve deeper into the dynamics of the relationship and explore the consequences of neglect and unfulfilled expectations. Additionally, refining the structure and flow of the poem could enhance its impact on the reader. Consider experimenting with line breaks or punctuation to create pauses and emphasize key moments.

Overall, "pot plant love" effectively captures the theme of unbalanced relationships and the lingering effects of past connections. By further developing the narrative and refining the poetic elements, you can enhance the depth and resonance of the poem.

would be a better title! [just kidding], I think I get what you mean. The Last few words really gave me the clue.
You were "All-in" and clung tightly, and she simply thought of you as another conquest and forgot about giving you nurture [water]
Yeah, it sometimes happens like that. Had it happen to me once or twice. I married one of them, [my first wife]. Buck up buddy, you will survive. I understand it. ~ Geezer.

Hey geezer!
Thanks for your response, you understood the point perfectly even tho most of it was inside knowledge between me and the guy who it was about. I am glad you are no longer married to your first wife if she caused you to feel the way I know all too well. I am a girl btw haha, but thanks for the encouragement and support!

that advice works just as well for a girl, as it does for a guy. Hey, I'm no one to give great advice about young love, except:
if you "grow into it", it should work better. This is my third marriage, and this one has lasted for 35 years, so I must have finally gotten it right? LoL

Hello, zuella,
Much said in this brief poem. All take and no give just doesn't work. And your last few words are so wise and affirm the spirit of the poem - nurtured love grows.
I enjoyed this!
Thank you!
