Painkiller

when for you
a war it must be
you'll have an ally
wherever I am
whether or not
you love me
whether or not you ask
even for the war of
what does it matter
point out for me
the line and on
which side we stand
of all that I could be
today and all I've ever
been I'd want only to
be a painkiller for you
it somehow kills mine too

So I’ve read some things on my journey that sit pretty true with me, though I’d not speak for anyone else.

Part of the process of healing emotionally is reaching out to help others. I really feel like that describes me.

Another interesting bit of information I always liked comes from anthropologist Margaret Mead. When asked what she considered to be the advent of humanity she did not site and cave drawings or agricultural advancements or tool making. Instead she uses femur. This early human broke their femur but it was healed, indicating that someone had stayed with this person for weeks caring for them. A broken leg in the animal kingdom is almost certain death.

It’s an interesting theory,
Great poetry as usual,
Tim
