ABILITY IN DISABILITY

Ever think of drowning, ending all in a frown,
Solace in stigma, struggling to fit in,
Image cracked, a whole different shape from the others,
A piece missing, fingers not striking equal
A stain they say, a "bad omen" to our culture they proclaim,
Nothing worth living for, nothing worth striving,
Live above it all, for billion reasons speak,
Ability still lives in disability

Ability swells in disability,
Peace lives in pieces, plagues still get plaques,
No hex, just a being in gorgeous glory,
You can be a difference and make the difference clear,
Never strike out your star for a mar,
Zonk not, sink no more, nor wallow in reject,
Assign your sign, set your mark on the stony walls of success,
Raise your shoulders high, it's your dignity,
Win the war, wallow the wicked in weakness,
Tell the world your strength, live, think big,
Ability still lives in disability

The use of contrasting imagery, such as "Solace in stigma" and "Peace lives in pieces," effectively conveys the idea that even in moments of struggle and judgment, there is still potential for growth and empowerment.

One suggestion for improvement is to further develop the metaphors and imagery used throughout the poem. For example, the line "A stain they say, a 'bad omen' to our culture they proclaim" could be expanded upon to provide a clearer picture of the societal perceptions and prejudices faced by individuals with disabilities. By delving deeper into these metaphors, you can create a more vivid and impactful portrayal of the challenges faced by those with disabilities.

Additionally, consider varying the rhythm and structure of the poem to enhance its overall flow. While the current structure is consistent, experimenting with different line lengths or incorporating poetic devices such as enjambment or internal rhyme could add a
