Meditation

Meditation

Healing from within
Allows us to view our thoughts
And stop our actions

Causing us to act
Totally in a new way
While we seek some help

Creating a change
In the person whom we are
From one we once were

Providing our mind
With the time to understand
We can be better

Okay

A drop of rain falls on my head
Watch silver moonlight dance through my curtain threads
I feel you smile, it echoes from a million miles away
A vast remembrance that everything around might be okay

A blissful evening, spent wandering the open plains
Taste for adventure, a blooming passion growing in my veins
Colour-filled canvases, each stroke so intricate, complete
The swirls surround me, eluding to the road that I might reach

Real Gone Rhyme

My poetry did charm and cheer
as I sat sobbing in my beer.
It held me (like a faithful friend)
when world of mine was at an end.

Throughout my lost and languid life,
(while shackled to a wolfish wife)
those stanzas bid me bide my time;
they sang sometimes; was so sublime!

In dungeon’s dank, dark days and nights;
temptations, trials, fond fancy’s flights;
when life had left me all alone,
and all my wildest oats were sown,

Final Handshake

A few sermons said
he couldn't have recorded

draped in military colors
and saluted
suddenly recalled was a soldier
wanted to get up
but was nailed

taken to the crematorium
slid into an incinerator
nearest kith and kin
his spouse
silently wept

God let's shake hands
so far I had kept him
now you take over
as you are of heaven
the only single owner

I'm awaiting your tenancy
until then will pray feverishly

Rain Story

As the rain fell around her,
she wanted to feel the downpour on her face.
To feel anything other than the rage
of the wild world all about her
would be a welcome change.

Grateful, she tossed the umbrella aside
and let the deluge speak to her
as she hoped it would.

Love Lost In The Land Of Chaos

Asking me what you did wrong,
I told you that you did not listen,
you are not listening to me still,
could have wiped away tears that glisten.

You were too much of a Man's Man,
a two-fisted hard bodied drinker.
you never noticed it was slipping away
what you needed was a good head-shrinker.

Figuring out the mess you were creating
did you think in your hands you had it made?
Love was a treasure you could not tarnish
if only you had followed your heart and obeyed.

Break The Chain

If you are on your second or
Third DUI.
If you have been to rehab more
Then one time.

Are you fucked up on drugs
Of all kinds?
The chemicals raging in your
Mind.

There are greater forces
At play.
There is a softer, better
Way.

The hustle keeps you on
The street.
You have a hard time making
Ends meet.

Your money goes to drugs,
Can't pay your bills.
You can get out,
Your fate Is not sealed.

you are a life i longed for more of

true love looks at its friends
and sees them how they see themselves,
sees them troubling and ugly and boring,
and knows God created them in its likeness;

i have forgotten your sisters name,
i don’t care where you’ve ended up-
the czech republic, oddball,
i care that i cut jaggedly across you,

that we have been.
i think about your house, about your spells,
i think about writing to you aimlessly,
receipt backs and leaflets enshrined and massed;

A new state of mind!

Can you heal my heart
Is there not a place
That I might go
To quell the misery
Flowing from within my soul
Just when I think that
That I’ve got it down
I'm into someone else's storm
My only desire is to be kind
But the darkness that wells up within
Cannot be quelled by mankind
But somewhere just outside of town
I still believe he's there to be found
Waiting with patience, to draw back the veil
And guide me into a new state of mind!

Smiles

A look that moves lips
Shows bright teeth gleaming inside
Changing how we feel??
