Happy: An Acrostic (Challenge)

Happy: An Acrostic

Holiday elements of joy and peace,
Always inherent in the changing seasons.
Preparations planned with love,
Peaceful aura 'round the table.
Years bounty encompassing all!

Challenge things that make me smile

A painted smile
carry on a thousand words
Through a simplest
kindness of act
To shed a light
from a giving heart
And a caring soul
make a difference
In the world of tomorrow
for a better change
To eliminate hatred
form a peace of mind
Embrace with hope and joy
come together with unity
For the sake of humankind
and the next generation to come
Plant the seed of love

I still believe!

Tear drops fall again
Dark sullen, lonely wind
When the past has called
Will I stand to lose it all?

Take no notice here!
Leave it for the universe to bare.
Past has come undone.
Look into the eyes of the sun!

Can I now deny?
Is it in my heart to defy?
Is my witness sure?
Only He can tell for sure.

Left on mercy’s door.
Only He can settle this score.
Drawn into the light.
Will He guide me home tonight!

Cleaning Up After You

I sometimes feel your absence as if it were dust,
easily disturbed by currents of sorrow,
only to settle on the remnants you left behind.

With some effort, I sweep the delicate memories
into a bin that is never full, so you won't worry that I'm okay.

AGAIN

Away from contingencies and conspiracies,
Binding thoughts cold forest,
Judging my actions, giving orders against my world
I hope to win, swimming swiftly against those plaintiffs
I yearn to achieve, to undo those deeds that failed us,
To do all my best, again and again

THE LADY OF TATTOO

Ink veins running down her arms,
held together in sea side charms.
Two ladies dancing, skip over tide,
Legs akimbo, for arm shaped suicide.

Snaking slowly into a necklace,
Colours run; ink holds tight her face.
Delicately entangled pattern of skin,
Feather boa spreads out thin.

On shoulders, insect wings fly,
in glorious act of soaring high.
As yellow bubbles swim in tandem,
And features inked, in love’s abandon.

Leprechaun promenade!

Gently lilting, over the brook
myriads of flowers
are gathered to look.
Down the pure streamlets
where leprechauns play.
Waiting for sunshine
to brighten their day.
The nymph and the dragonfly
Join in together.
To make games with toad,
who seems willing to play.
Mischief unending,
begins to unravel.
As leprechauns
catch butterflies,
in nets where they gather.
All day long
they sing and they dance!
And drink Irish ale.
with a mind for romance.

A Child of God

When I hear a child laughing, I cannot help but smile,
All my troubles go away at least for just a while...
When I see a child suffering and there’s nothing I can do,
It hits me deep inside and I will suffer too...

When I see a child praying so honest and sincere,
It’s like I feel the Lord is standing very near...
When I watch a child at playing with a great imagination,
I go back to my youth and it’s an uplifting sensation...
