SHE HAD...

She had milky pool walnut shaped
eyes, she crinkled her upturned
Cute freckled nose when she smiled. Her

Beetle leg silky eyelashes fluttering Innocently
above her curvilinear waist. Spools of thick
choclate dark brown hair around her photogenic
face.

Trippin'

Orange and blue
a pungent haze.
Tripin' away
three long hard days
Your mind is on fire
Your eyes are ablaze
Heaven and earth
have come closer today
You fumble just to
gain your composure
but find that your negligence
Lead to over exposure
You make your way back
to your room in the dorms
sequestering yourself
And escapeing self harm!

The Beginning

We sat at a table together
and our knees touched...

Neither of us pulled away

Shared Dreams

In laughter and tears
Shared dreams and our conquered fears
Love's journey unfolds

A Very Greedy Christmas by: eddy styx

A Very Greedy Christmas

Colors green and red
as sugar plums danced
in their vapid little heads!

In catalogs full of toys
the gimme generation
finds eternal joys.

So much junk in corners
and under the beds,
so bring on the mourners

Who reduce the rubble
to utter mumblings
floating away from the trouble.

They took a loan out from the bank
An arm and leg; the extravagant cost
being "Santa," the boat almost sank

BLOOD WANDERER

When you came that night uninvited
When you breathed into my ear.
Your strong energyforce I was embedded

My love occupied every waking hour
when you left. Your Forcefulness took
My weakness your domination had chosen

no exception you took my life, energy,
my virginity forever that night and
vanished took flight. I will never forget you

When you kissed me the way that
You do.

A Walk At Dusk

The water near the shore is uncommonly still.
Reflecting an uncertain sky like a mirror.
Small clouds stirred by an impatient breeze.

Below, the blazing-white egrets,
set against lesser and envious hues,
eagerly search for their evening meals.

Their spindle-like legs, lifting gracefully
and purposefully, one after another,
working in concert to find what their host seeks
before the failing light of a western sun.

The shallow still water of the inlet
sharing all of this without expectation.

WHISKERS AND WINGS

Five cats sitting on the wall, and Limpsy brings a friend.
They groom and cry for breakfast, each one fed in the end.
And mammy takes the food out to fairly sub divide,
Five cats wait upon the wall, they’re the ones who decide.

And every day they’re eager, a choir of lion’s roar,
As mammy climbs the ladder, frenzy more and more.
Now milk won’t do it has to be, delicacies of fish,
Each of them has their very own, individual dish.

Red Shift...

Speed away time
in the rear-view mirror
Red-shifting days
gone is the year

Think coming months
I beg of you
Oh, crimson tide
shift now to blue
