a wild heart
light traveled
to the heart
of the dying day
mingling with
the unknown
until,
this black
timeless
wonder
entranced me
warning clouds
cleared the face
of the mountain
as a tempest
kicked up,
a whirlwind
of dust covered
a darkening sky
a flickering light
announced
the beginning
of the first act,
the stage was set
as lighting flashed
a drum beat out
windows shook
my blood was raised
the first drop
fell to ground
the dirt lifted
in protest,
its sister followed
dampening
the brown
of the earth
slate tiles
reflected the rain
tin sheds
trembled
in the glory
of the wild,
storming through
the night
I stood
at the center
of twilight
surrounded
by the glory,
my heart raced
as excitement
coursed through
I am a child
of the earth
still clasped
in the hand
of wonderment,
and lost to the power
of the storm

A lovely piece as usual, I would love to see something harder from you, where the feelings that scream, are waiting in line, to be released to the pen,
Yours as always Ian xx
PS:- the footprints on the lawn are gentle as if you trod with care, would love to see those size 5's stamp out "I am Jayne".

It's OK I was being a little pushy in wanting to have you stamp around lol.
The foot steps on the lawn tickle my old feet and makes me smile.
There's a poem in there someplace, you take your time you have been through a lot and still a few things to come but we are here as always, take care of you out there, Yours Ian.T

Its always good to push the limits I find that's when I write my best stuff, I am just writing what the muse dictates at the moment she's being very pushy !! I will be ok not long now till I have the last op I cant wait for it all to be over

Hello Jayne
I echo everything stated in all the previous comments about this wonderful piece! Storms have always fascinated me as well, and I love to be under a tin roof during a downpour! Your poetry never fails to entrance its readers, and your talent shines through every word! Loved this one!

I greatly enjoyed this write
the simplicity of clarity
the startling and quiet nuance
and powerful emotive notations
I like the paragraph spacing
and over all flow of this poem
it has a beginning and middle
and conclusion
and Im left with the imprint
of its impression
Thanks JC!

Cliche after cliche
a flickering light
announced
the beginning
of the first act,
the stage was set
as lighting flashed
a drum beat out
windows shook
my blood was raised
best cut this and edit the rest to a haiku.

Your replies and comments are beginning to sound like a record of a demented duck single syllable and gets on others nerves.
You are sounding like a stupid spoilt child, so go find your toys and play in the sea, or like for like, a cesspit.
Leave this site alone you cannot win so piss off,
Yours Yenti
