The stream (all workshops)
PART OR MOST OF MY LIFE I HAVE FELT KIND OF OUT OF PLACE.
LIKE WHEN I WAS A CHILD IN THE DEPARTMENT STORE WITH MY MOTHER'
CONFUSING PEOPLE WITH MANIKENS. SPRING IN THE COUNTRY' THE LONELY YET
AWESOME WATER SPRINGS. IN GRADE SCHOOL I WAS PETRIFIED AND DAYDREAMING
ONCE IN JUNIOR HIGH AT A HEALTH CLASS DAYDREAMING' DRAWING PICTURES OF FUTURE CARS' THE TEACHER FOUND IT SHOWED IT IN FRONT OF CLASS THEY ALL LAUGHED IN COLLEGE I RELATED MUCH BETTER EVEN THOUGH I WAS GOING FULL TIME
AND I WAS FORTY YEARS OLD.
Christmastime is here.
Come and light the tree again.
And give God the praise.
I wish you knew I wanted you
that when I look at you a smile can't help but slip onto my face
I wish you knew I needed you
that when you talk to me my heart beats a mile a minute
I wish you knew I desired you
that when you touch me my whole body warms
I wish you understood
that you weren't out of my league and were the only player on my team
I wish you weren't so insecure
that you knew you could have me and I would have you
I wish you knew I loved you and not gone and killed yourself
And she was, or was i
Hopeful enough to drink too much
Enough to grow a beard
And she was, or was i
Asking politely
If the driver would play her music
And she was, and she was, and she was
Or was i
A sort of gentleman
To hold your hand, but arise unknowing
Shrugging off a spotless mind
a loss truly felt
Whose rings weren’t made of gold
Whose brain was covered in sod
You never heard a word of it
I knew a place
To gather glimpses of soul
I listened again and again
But let go before I ever caught hold
Brain sod
His absence was loud but
much less than doubt
Must we confess so soon
Whilst robes are still sulking
And you haven’t got the change
Back home
In your closet of blue
Are books of photos
Of a guise
you waltzed out of or through
Son you’re still mourning
The sheath is sealed
But firmly at your hip
To grasp with ease
You remind me of your mother
Or rather, you once did
Another great friend
I'd admired
years since we met
just a year or two senior
age wise
knowledge
beyond the far reaching crowds
passed away this morning ...
left all bereft
mourning
none will remember
after the lantern
is switched off
next one please
calls the padri
who is now in queue
has anyone any clue
Beautiful mountains in hues of blue,
Where quiet birds fly,
The cool air kissing your cheeks,
Blushing them,
Your gaze falling beyond the mountain path,
My gaze falling upon you,
We are alone,
Among the calm,
My secret words of a restless heart,
Silenced by your wanderlust,
As you break the calm,
The moment,
Obeying your yearning for the unknown,
As I quietly yearn for you.
