Im lucky I hung around people who went

write the test and pass the bar (lawyers bar)
NOT the booze can. It was their influence
that leads me to try on new ideas
and climb out from under my rock long ago

Im glad you have a dictionary
most of my money goes into my family
here and I priced a good dictionary and it
was eighty dollars! Our young charge
needs her new school clothes and items
for class so I only have my online resources
and an old computer 2006..

I just write poetry
I dont make up scraps

and anyway
I can write made up words like one I heard
that maybe you are not familar with either:

the top! managing that which follows!
top as defined as the extremely endowed
with trust and value

elite is not perfection
the utopian society that all
realms imagine for their youth
or their own age

I threw in the word Elite here because
its fairly new
and popular as the populace
watchs the crumbling system
in parts of the globe become
diluted with poor health

wealth has its gifts and abilities
I was exposed to reading
from parents who purchased books
Parents who read books

if this place were an elitist place
we would have memberships
a must! we would have numbers
titles and would adhere to output

there would be a test
like corporate places to eliminate
and increase the fluidity of
motion

but we are not "creating" a product for market
therefore what adhesion to jurisdiction
or union or tithe is required

and yet..as the simple fairytale songs of long
ago continue to replicate in each new generation
the power of Poetry
can be percieved as an Elite concept

and perception is an illusion
and or delusion at times

some of the great poetry was written
with the help of delusional stimulants
illusions described

what is poetry then?
a site can be opinionated on
as each has their opinion

I have no test to ask of myself
for poetry nor any other

and I think that there are people with
laptops and not much else
existing as they do writing here
to the very elite cadre of people

we wont have to brand ourselves

Neopoet has literally hummed along
the internet is a superhighway
its public and its offered as Free
and guess what?

the poor need that and the elite love
that they can become a Neopoet Poet
and if they desire or are gifted as
one can do in our still "free" world from
America where this site is maintained
then even better

no I.Q tests..No talent tests
no background tests
just straightforward guidelines

I think its the greatest thing since
sliced bread

mmm tasty toasted..Poetry does cause a HUNGER
because occasionally the power of language
sizzles in the imagination of a dormant cause
tickles the humour of an awaiting laugh
and frees the stormclouds of feeling that need to
torrent from the heart like the parched land
that waits to release its abundant life

starve a people and the great hunger will
thunder they will feed themselves with the word
the product of that great desire
is much needed

I remember the rhyme words of youth
being held instructed before rest before
dreams.....I never forgot it and when I went
looking to see if anyone else had forgotten
and was hungry to taste this
I found this very place

(and I dont have to worry about parking)
