A New Wardrobe

Thrown into the flames
By the riven grasp of my behaviors
No more

Standing fast at the inviting hearth
My shadows grow behind me
Pushing me closer to the fire

Callous clutches strive for control
I fight to keep my own cognition
Self awareness escapes me when I am not myself

Alone is how I feel
My wardrobe consists of a single cloak of invisibility
Completely naked and vulnerable
or altogether unseen
This is my daily attire
Neither is fashionable

Seems like people are either whispering that "He has no clothes" or "Where the fk is he"?
I just can't seem to find the proper attire! I guess you are right, we need a new wardrobe!
I am opting for a velvet-dressing gown like Sherlock Holmes. That way I can wear the invisibilty cloak
beneath it and if I like, I can be like the "Thin Man" the invisible slueth. [old T.V. program].
Gone are the days of simplicity, people want all kinds of stuff from us now; so we have to make ourselves available
and decent. Lord, what we won't do for our loved ones! So, let's go shopping and get some new threads!
A great piece. ~ Geez.
