treponema
pallidum
the hard bargain of love's road
beneath the savage velvet of the moon
the candle gutter gloom
we picked our pockets of silver
and toxin
licked our lips with sated
maxims
the careless boost
our hearts loosed
we spun like sparks
beneath the stars
we lived like boars
made love like Czars
the fires quenched
the days roamed past
the palsy trembles do
hold me fast
Arise without my
feast of facts
an unknown ghost
lost in my tracks
tore out the grandeur
Im just a host

Steve
I think that this is one of your grand pieces, descriptive and pointed to the continuance of things, being a host to a spiral life form, sometimes is not good ?

Turn of the century
the artists the noveau Times
the old maladies and curses
A lot of the writers and poets
were careful and quiet and polite
and others ran full bore into life
My last line falters fully
no ryhme just ends abruptly
When I was reading I studied photos
and writings of diseases and Viruses
the Spanish Flu down our way took out
entire communities
I find the history from the eighteen eighties
to the mid thirties a most interesting genre
Thank You

Steve
Only last evening I was watching a programme called the top 10 bacterial and virus sicknesses, I think that I should have watched this first.
But I did understand your write, but I had brought out the Syphilis virus as the base for this write maybe I should have considered some of the others..
There was also a programme a few months?year ago where they were digging up a couple of bodies in Iceland that had been in permafrost since they died of Spanish flue in 1918, another very interesting documentary..
As my wife has also many books here on the Spiritual side of things there are the usual ones and also a lot of info on the North American Nations from pre Columbus to Wounded Knee..
I think that most writers need to fill themselves up with loads of information so that they can be versatile when writing and of course a sense of humour.. It also helps to have experienced many things in life..
Take care my friend, Yours Ian.T

Fascinating digression
Really, I want to know, how it relates to the poem.
But then I'm probably being thick.
cheers,
Jess

experiment numbers....batch numbers...density numbers
that probably relates to the "thick" issue
a lot of discoveries come from just a number
or design
like discovering Syphillus cures
radical for its times
like radical poetry
batch number
its just a title Mate
its not a bible
ha ha ha
you dont have to get it
others will
poetry is for everyone
not just the one

I knew I could write
I loved poetry but couldnt write it for years
I just kept at it over and over
then I got tons of experience moving about
in life and read a lot of books
I just woke up and realized I knew nothing
of the pandemic scares that were ocuring
fifteen years ago I knew that the newspapers
were atrociously guarded or completely out
of control so information was vague or sketchy
at best... I also found that not one book would
cover much I had to read many books to get
a basic solid enough outline of concept on things
I just stuck the poetry thing out reading a lot of
different poetry styles and books
and not remaining in one set way of writing
if it had frustrated me it would have greatly
affected how I would write but I was able to
cut through that barrier That was the hardest
work after that the writing comes easy!
Thank You

Some get these and some dont.
No worry I write every day practically and some you gush over. Im not writing just for any one
singularity though. I try to move style about and form. Thats the great thing about this place
We as poets can experiment.. Why would I stay on one style? Not my style mate!
Thank You
