Alchemy

Writing the words that bleed on this page
Dispersing the anger and sadness and rage
Come now what may, this story be told
May all my musings be thoughtful and bold

If inspiration escapes me I’m lost
Stuck at the toll booth and can’t pay the cost
Reach back to stories both common and old
Teach me to transmute this lead into gold.

it is great to see you this morning! I feel, the best lines of this poem are:

Reach back to stories both common and old
Teach me to transmute this lead into gold.

Great title and flow. mr. wizard!

Good morning, Tim,
This is very much like watching lead turn into gold. Wonderful title and theme throughout. A bit of magic here!

you are coming from. Sometimes, we have to go search out a story that makes our muse happy. Then, she/he will fill in the blanks and voila, a new piece of work! I don't mind helping out once in a while, I mean after-all, she must get a bit weary, flying all over the place, looking for good stuff! I think that you have plenty of material to work with, seeing as you have wife, kids and a dog to put so much love and funny stuff in your life. This is a good example of the skill you have. ~ Geez.

There is value to commenting and critique, tell us how you feel about our work.
This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

a song in this! Sometimes our muse(s) are stubborn and don't give us much to work with but I think you always have something to contribute and surely enjoy reading your poems. Great job!
