Power

Power

She Loved me like a lightning bolt
caressed me like a breeze
She softened the electric jolt
with bloodstained melodies

She met my naive wondering
with worldly teacher's tone
she took the distant thundering
and made it all my own

Her kiss was urgent, ravenous
Her lips a velvet hook
Her deep set eyes were cavernous
with hidden pleasures look

The demon Lonliness

What ails you demon loneliness
why creep into my mind
Perpetual darkened shadows
that flicker all the time
The shroud of autumn hanging
from your shoulders like a cloak
And weapons made of emptiness
for the many hearts you broke
Why linger on vile creature
you plague my cobwebbed thoughts
Upon eternal searching
for the chaos that you brought
Your essence lies around me
and like waves upon the sand
Destroys my dreams of happiness
for so long that I have planned

Nightmare Time

Spider like we walk through dreams – where shadows talk or so it seems.
With tear filled eye and twisted grin – we watch our yesterday’s crawl in.
Then someone speaks was it a scream – for something gone and yet unseen.
Continue down a road of glass – as cracks appear is it the past.
A friendly wave a quick hello – I turn around where did they go.
And now the rain so flat and warm – upon the curtain ripped and torn.
Small glowing embers on the fire – just cast familiar shadows higher.

epitaph

she clears her throat
and your ears prick
to hear what sighed words
she may yet weep
from sour mouth and
flaming eyes
she is alive
in every word you utter
dead in every hope
you dare hold
look to her not
for comforts sake
but rather
for that pain
you so endlessly crave

Once there was a lovely land
'twas specifically so grand,
where a king ruled, with his queen, and the couple's prince;

they lived their lives without a care
for an even hand ruled so "fair",
such a great king had not ruled, ever since!

The young prince was coming of age
and minus squires and, his page,
he was given a quest to accomplish, on his own;

after there were two more 'morrows
he'd find the pond of double sorrows,
thus proving, he was now completely grown.

KDT

KDT

outside lava throwing fire
deep inside a little girl bent like wire though she hides

She fell once
I offered my hand
Her tears pressed too thin
to see
but she reached for me

she laid me down upon the gravel
we joined at the chest
and shared.......something
voudoun, darkness

I have never been the same

elaborate fog tendril
moves as it pleases
it hunts for those marked
upon hot summer breezes

I Promise

You radiate with the last light that keeps the mountains from fading into the sky
And for all my restraint that light gets brighter as the night gets dark
So I ache for the ocean and your memories swept up in the tide
For your pushing pulling breakers
And for the drive behind your hips to pull you toward me
Exploring all the mountains and the valleys
The one between your lips and chin
The hollow just above your collarbone
The beautiful cave they call your mouth that falls in on itself every time we try to draw out one another’s souls

Burger and Fries

A big burger and lots of fries
not the best in terms of healthy, you say.
But excuse me, did I ask?
A ride on the greasy side of life,
no doubt a dangerous delight.
But at its thought,
I’m Pavlov’s dog.
I’ll risk that beating by the great OZ,
doctor that is.
Dismissed as well
the sucking sound of shrinking arteries,
as without ceremony
I devour this
killer feast.

Life In The Fatfood Lane...

Corpulence rolling out the super-marts
riding, pushed in the shopping carts

Extra-large fast food meals
$3.99... such big fat deals

Diet sodas and mounds of fries
stomachs distend, big as eyes

Doggy bags from Chinese buffets
there’s veggie-bars here to graze

Plates are full, drinks are brimming
dishes of meat in gravy swimming

O.K. Corral and Fatback Freddie’s
stuffed with people wearing pantie-wedgies

What a sight, cows chowing and chewing
dressed in spandex, excited mooing

Sunshine (Mindful Memorable Freeform: The Challenge)(:-)

The sun came out at night, it was a reflection
The moon came out in the daytime it was real
The stars are there day and night I see only half.
Take these things in, and know what you see.
