THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

Showers of Love

Flowers feed on the rain
and I lean on your name
sunshine warm the earth
my heart burning with thirst

Twilight dances with the moon
and I wanna dance with you
rainbows form in my heart
my heart rain from the start

All I Need Is You.

Quiet meal, just the two of us
is something we still like to share.
It’s always easier to be ourselves
When no one else is there.

Slow dance, is still our favourite dance.
you and I together, me holding you near.
While you listen as I softly whisper
words of love in your ear.

Gentle passion, that’s how we want it
when you share your love with me.
Still romantic and always tender.
That’s how we like it to be.

The Gravedigger

It was cold and windy, always seemed to be the same
whenever he dug out a grave and often it would rain.
Grave digging was something he knew someone had to do
that was his job and he always took pride in doing it too.
People knew him in the village where he’d made his home
this strange young man, who was always on his own.

Where does it go?

Sometimes it feels like the pulsing energy of the sun
Other times there is barely a spark
Or is it really a rotation of night and day

Where does it go, where does it go?

I feel the flow from head to toe
Yet it passes in time, as if I were dead
Is it life or is it death

Where does it go, where does it go?

Sometimes it’s one, at times it’s two
Or can two be like one
Then what of two in simple repose

Where does it go, where does it go?

Up in Ink

There are other things besides writing,
but the pen loves me like no other;
never holding back
unless being watched
by those over-the-shoulder-fuckers ...

scared rabbits;
don't offer me no carrots.

Freeing, isn't it;
saying it out loud,
writing it down,
getting lost in the ink,
the lines on the page;
giving in to the rage.

Storm Warning Cancelled

.
poetry
...a poem
and now the world is changed
'tis true
but, do not concern yourself

the flutter of a butterfly's wings
may induce a hurricane
half-way 'round the world

the butterfly is not
mindful of such
nor should the poet be

flutter your dance
and dance your flutter
to the next alluring flower

best speak no more of this

Saved

Body shaking violently
Tears flooding my vision
Knees lock in place
Fist clenched at my side
Sobs ripped out of my chest

No longer have a heart
It’s splintered and gone,
along with my sanity

Insomnia attacks
Depression appears
Suffering begins
Suicidal thoughts

Your vindictive smile
Sends me running
I used to be strong
I should have fought
I believed your lies
Threw my life away
Forced my hand
It needs to end

LUCID

emasse
in the paradise of fault
the image is full of shadows
and ghosts like a negative
repeater shot

how I long for the brightness
and everyone says I have to
belong
and If I stay an outsider
in the quiet at the edge
where I can watch the stars

point your finger but theres space
now and I dont feel the bruise
on my chest

I still look up and let the snow fall
on my closed eyes
I can still reach that beauty
in a breath

Love and Kisses

Love and Kisses
I don't know why
When we say love,
The mind goes straight
To sex and lust,
Have we all forgotten?
Moms, pops, siblings
Kids and puppy love,
Which has no tinge of lust?
I suppose all minds have only rust

Get a Grip

You are pathetic, you make me sick.
The stench of your banality
Permeates every pore.

I look at you and the violence within rises.
I want to destroy you,
Cave you in.

You have no shame,
and expel your innards,
vomit them over those about you.

Smug little features make me want to
Smack you down.
I'm gonna knock out.

A veneer of sweetness
That Makes me wanna puke
I'm gonna knock you down

Im going to expose you
You're a fraud,
You're my enemy
