THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

wait for me ...my firstest poem here

Wait for me
around the edge
when it’s my time
hold my hand
squeeze it gently
to show your love

come to my arms
just for a while,
as time slips
below my feet
when in a whiff
I’m about to go
over the cliff
hold me tight
just once more
for then who knows for sure
whether I shall be

Hello (Haiku)

Haiku

Ladies day I walk
Midday sun no shadow thrown
A summertime home

Haiku

There is a deep hole
Where the water is well down
Drop bucket to fill

Haiku

The leaf twisted off
Fell to the hard frozen ground
The shadows grew long

Haiku

Water fell in space
Rainbow above holding all
beauty of a mist

Senyru

Many bad pains felt
A bonding that makes you cry
Tiny hands reach out

Senyru

A Doctor's Patience

I know exactly what's up, friend
and I usually have things right;

but in my quest to not offend
I'll try my best to seem polite.

I don't care much for conflict, so
at those times I may look away;

but, I'll remember times with you
wish I'd stayed at home that day!

You're brand of scandalousity
does almost make me ill;

a detour would have set me free
avoiding clashes with your will.

Your hidden mind agendas, or
what really makes me tense;

Workshop:

The Well of Life

THE WELL OF LIFE
by Ian Thomson
My Life, as far as I can tell,
Is like a stone dropped down a well.
It falls free, with uncaring speed,
Yet seems to hold all that I need.

But I know that quite soon the noise;
Those echoes of my woes and joys,
Will disappear like winter geese
As I, with weary splash, find peace.

Workshop:

rain anoints thee

the warmth of pleasure
settles like a shot of
greasy brandy

vernacular television spotlight
bathes my beauty
and we adore the wretched
sheets
eating chips while the affects
slithers like a serpent through
us

she dances

looking for her selves
in the haunted mirror
naked and alone

the kitchen chair like a toppled
throne is jammed secure
against the knob to the hall

the dirty carpet

"you dont fucking call me anymore"

Two Little Babies (a haiku)

two little babies
different in appearance
but loved both the same

INNER TURMOIL

After the auspicious consideration
given to this procedure I am left with no choice
I am to fight the same fight
handed over to me
at birth

No one asks
for such responsabilities in life
Thats why it's detremental
in our existence
to abide by simple rules

Produced to conform the unconformable
Seemingly made to be broken
Unspoken thoughts invade
my surroundings

Wait for Me

When he was small
if I ever drew ahead
'Wait for me, wait for me,' he would call.
He'd follow with little pumping legs
running so fast
I was afraid he'd fall.
I'd tarry by the open door
so he'd not lose sight of me.

As he grew older
he was always running late.
'Wait for me, wait for me,' he would plead.
Thus for his sake
I would hesitate.
I would heed
the entreaty
and slow my feet,
so by the open door we would meet.

Blind Choices (rhymed) (updated)

Blind Choices
my vision is clouded over,
a misty veil obscures my sight.
I frantically attempt to focus,
straining with all my might.
Wanting to be unruffled,
feelings get in the way.
Common sense is stifled
as heavily it does weigh.
Doubt rears its ugly head again,
dare I to believe,
in all that has been sacrificed
and all we could achieve?
Formidable is the gossip
destruction set free.
This time I will ignore it,
and treat it as debris
Sometimes it takes a leap of faith

Death by uselessness.

Death by uselessness.

What do you do?
Reproduce?
You'll be forgotten in three generations.

Write poetry?
Oh please, you'll be forgotten in five minutes.

Let's face it,
you are soon gone and forgotten.

Immortality is a farce.
Reproduction is most often perpetrated
by the inept and morons,
a reversal of natural selection.

Who said human life is sancrosanct?
Who said that?
Some religious freak.
