soon some one will say
Neopoetry
WHO?

HELLO is any one listening?

The romantic period began around the late 18th century
and characterized art throughout the 19th. It concerned itself with the plight of the common man in relation to nature and the natural world. Previously, in the baroque period it was all about the monarchy, the nobility. Romanticism was all about the artist being an individual instead of being sponsored by a nobleman. Hence, the image of the starving writer still plying his art.

Come and explore the lighter side of poetry writing with Judyanne and I
It will be a little different but fun

NAMES OF THE WIND

• Abroholos: a squall frequent from May through August between Cabo de Sao Tome and Cabo Frio on the coast of Brazil.
• Aejej in Morocco: a whirlwind in the desert.
• Aeolus: regent of the winds in Greek mythology.

startling...

emergence from submergence

I like the two comment initialization just hours fresh
It is enough increments to show how a poem can
be "obscure" enough or very "obscure" risquee
that non can grapple with a response....or its just
difficult to start a dialogue with the poem. In going
over my own works I see the ones that do not have
the required two comments to be set aside from
undiscovered to main stream.....And I see the ones
with heavier traffic flow more in definition now!

All Members

Hi,
I see we have our chat room back in use

All are welcome to drop in at any time and see if anyone is there to chat with. New members this is an excellent way to meet the Neo Pot community
please Andrew went to the trouble of taking time from his busy schedule to make the repairs. Let us show him how much we appreciate the chat room by using it

This is a test for contests

This is a test to see if many folks are interested in there being periodic contests here. This is Not an official contest, just one run solely by me. The winner will receive one slightly chipped quartz Indian arrowhead (likely of Cherokee origin), one southeastern wild turkey feather and one handwritten poem of mine (Winner's choice)
Rules :
Form--- any form but if not rhyming it better at least have strong poetic devices
Subject---I want a pastoral poem with a secondary level
Length------no more than 34 lines

Is chat back up?

I just launched a chat room and it worked! No-one else there yet of course. I hope I am not being pre-emptive but wow! This would be huge!
I so miss chat! It's my unpremeditated often over-medicated comments there that have got me suspended from Neopoet too many times to count but by crikey we had some fun!

Voting time! All members.

read the submissions and vote for who most successfully created a serious, emotional, philosophical, political or whatever poem out of what is basically by form a humorous form. It is very, very hard to do. Read them and vote, with a very, very short explanation of why it worked so well.

I submitted my own but hey are clearly disqualified as workshop, leader.
