THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

TIME DOESN'T STOP FOR NEW YEAR, CHANGING

"TIME DOESN'T STOP FOR NEW YEAR, CHANGING"
Margaret Ann Waddicor 31st December 2010.

As the old year turns its face,
the sun sinks down to other parts, from here,
I look out on the starlit heavens
and see the same galaxies of light,
the same formations, far away,
and yet they move so slowly, yes,
but move they do.

Haiku:(5-7-5) The River

The river runs free
between sunrise and sunset
into waterfalls

G.T.H.O.O.H.(Get The Hell Out Of Here)

Hey old dude it's time you leave
you've been around for far too long
I know of no one who will grieve
you're as out of date as "Pong"

Your visit here has brought much stress
except for early in November
when we began cleaning up your mess
next to go? The great pretender

So here's your hat and what's your hurry
your leaving can't come soon enough
just melt away like a light flurry
am I being over gruff ?

Look into my ocean eyes
Of blue and green surprise
Then you will dance your own dance
And someone new you will find

A dance filled with passion
Which will lead to the place
Where it seems
That heaven and hell collide

Let go of your senses and ride the waves
I see your heart as a darkened cave
Open your mind and forget the past
Take the pain throwing it away at last

Quench your thirst
With the waters of satisfaction
It is found
In the soul of perfect attraction

Pat Your Back

Everybody needs to just listen,
listen to the song in your heart.

Just let the melody, and the harmonies,
and the lyrics pat your back, if your smart.

Because there's nothing better than that language
to lift your spirit so high, it's clean out of sight;

it'll give you the strength to climb up any mountain,
and the comfort of knowing, it's gonna be alright.

But, should your taste in music turn to melancholy,
well, them there blues, may just gonna hafta be your tune;

clove magic

clove magic

flower of clove
essence of orange
mingling esters in
ether's province

begets a boon
of
boundless olfactory

crisp as flowering
orange blossom's scent
in humid
southern nights

made crisper from
exotica of myrtle's
clove magic

Szygium aromaticum and
Citrus sinensis

one sniff
mind's eye entertains
new horizons

where hate cannot
exist.

How to Purr

I want to learn how to purr
release the sound from deep below
the one caught somewhere in my throat
a voice I have but it’s hidden, remote.

It seems my desire has no cure
so I search my voice that you will know
what I’m feeling when my senses float
find passion’s scream I wish to emote.

I know it’s there when my senses blur
a lustful emotion I long to share
beautiful songs I have never written
purring love, I’m your soulful kitten.

Sensuous Fever

At Dawn

Droplets of dew
upon velvety petals
evoke intimate memories
of your lingering touch

At Dusk

My parched lips quake
like sun baked soil
come quench my thirst
with your nectars

Come Night

A shooting star
doesn't quicken my desire
it needs the flash
of your lightning touch

The Call

Come drench me
in your showers and hail
let's drowse the embers
in our loins

EXPRESSING ME

"EXPRESSING ME "
Margaret Ann Waddicor January 2010

There is not least
an element of panache,
of the theatrical

in what I write,
one dons a garb
like that of a bard

and expounds
with a superior vocabulary,
with a feeling that one is swathing,

beaming
the mind for all possible remarks
of dashing value

to impress oneself first,
to show how well one can dance
this particular waltz

and does so
with an energy
and excitement
