Dawn

I awake to the ever-abiding soul song of life -
the sounds of mothers calling young in fresh near light.
While the timely rooster crows and colour spirits bestir
for control of the far horizon various hued inks fight.

Stirring to the florid smell of sated, calm earth
moisturised by Jack Frost’s recent fresh-dewed call
the distant gentle pound as ocean quenches thirsty shore
a serenity which darkness has settled over all.

Tasting tender whisperings of the wind to the leaves
and the birds’ gloriously orchestrated chorus
that’s sent to Heaven so joyously on open soaring wings
to lilt forever from the bright right eye of Horus.

Awakening to knowledge of the eternal love of Gaia
feeling Her wisdom spread, entwining everything.
As Apollo begins his journey, his slow long arching ride
this day’s Songline’s learning curves to bring
I awake to the ever-abiding soul song of life.

Although the whole poem is stimulatingly breath taking, I really love the summing up...

Awakening to knowledge of the eternal love of Gaia
feeling Her wisdom spread, entwining everything.
As Apollo begins his journey, his slow long arching ride
this day’s Songline’s learning curves to bring
I awake to the ever-abiding soul song of life.

And the you you are shines through this write. The attention to detail picked out with such feeling and understanding, as the great globe of earth rolls on with its accompanying songs of life that moves to wake at the break of dawn.

You have the gift of expression dear judyanne,
I send my love to you annanya.
