African Untouched Glory

In Africa elephants roam freely
grazing open pastures of vegetation
Where white pillows cling to blue skies
Touching a green flush carpet of grassland

Native men dance for future brides
adorned in beautifully printed alfgans
to the tunes of their island women singing
Along the wide open dirt road never ending

One day I hope to vacation Africa's homeland
and enjoy the natural earth in it undeveloped form

I love the flow of this piece, but elephants do not roam freely, except through the eyes of guided tourists. Devastating wars, bomb explosions and strives keep them at bay. Yes, a vacation here will give you more to learn from. Living amongst the people will also change your perception. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.

A rekindled faith - Dancing in the Light

I was watching an episode of the big race and two woman stop to watch the elphants graze in the pasture before continuing on to the final destination. Are there any parts not ravaged.

You dream Barbara, you dream with:-
"Where white pillows cling to blue skies
Touching a green flush carpet of grassland"

this is lovely I see you with the pillow clouds
watching the elephants, they seem to roam free,
but now all nature is caged by man who think
they own them.

Nature cannot be owned.

I would like to visit Africa one day, but 'they' say
that once you have been there you will wish to return,
its so mesmerising...hope you make it.

but the reflection of the moon on water, lives." Kenzan.

Thanks I saw this vision on a show call the big race and felt compelled to write this. Though T thought troubling there got to be dome part of Africa that is not war torn.
