THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

Sealed With A Kiss

Love teases
flirting pleases
games excite
passion ignites
unspoken desire
mind on fire
beautiful fantasy
make reality
absolute bliss
sealed with a kiss

Lament

Lone piper playing the sun’s rays away,
It stirs the many that are graced today,
To hear of his sorrow being there alone.
Though he is not, the sound strikes home

A love torn youth who’s tears will fall,
As a single note on his ears heard call
That he should tend to his lady love so
Her heart breaking, she had let him know

That troubles had sculled about her door,
her father’s wrath she could take no more
The mournful call of the piper's play
Touched her ear as she left that day

the wind might change

this fierce uneasy day

viciously hot
best left to dogs
paddling frightened dreams in dust
flat beneath my trees

somewhere smoke clouds mound
bruised orange, black and filthy brown
battered giants' fists-
of destruction

as the bush burns

I hear sirens
wailing frantic paths through roads
and tracks
congealed by terror and black ash-

everyone is leaving

f a t h o m i n g

a thin bell
speaks
against
a chime

cultural crimes
in modern
times

bolt from the blue

boltish bluish
what do you say
of bolts

where from heaven
they like missiles are fired
where on earth is it not a blue circle
the sea
the horizon
distant ocean
the Nile
the nails
all indicate the bluishness of creation
soft serene calm
also inter woven with a tinge

Tantrum

The monster speaks
my humour reeks
outward bile leaks
somewhere it peaks
downward it streaks
apologise, I'm meek

Hot Daze

Today so hot so hot so hot
I lay in bed and thought,
Get up? Not.
Allowing the warm breeze to caress
My naked body without stress
I had some dreams I will not share
Though you know that I would dare.

My epitaph will be, I promise
“I’m glad I didn’t spend
more time at the office”

Oh; Beware!

Oh; Beware!
The scandalousity of the acidicly,
addictively, seductiveness;

that surrounds the basic winter of your malcontent!

Cold
cannot be defined by words
from the skies of this dimension;

yet that same and exact dimension possesses the finesse
to coerce
your breathing inside the clouds to ease

and believe in a comfort, from a language of fools!

Pitiful,
the plight

of the sorrowfully motivated people.

There can never
be any gain from a pain that prefers to leave....

A Journey

Out of the thousands of physical miles.
Comes a thought,
The thought crossed the time and distance.
Faster than light.

Held within that thought is a woman,
That has been all that a woman could be.
Then some.

I walked the dusty path and peered into her ways.
In there was a mother, who's light was a beautiful blue.
This is the best of all colours for a light to be.

I shielded my eyes
Lest I should take some of that light myself.
This would garner my own Spirit’s ways.

White Sage

Of all the creatures that
have crossed the page,
my favourite of all
is the White Sage

Passing through time
from magic sands,
it was gifted her Story
went through the lands

From trails of snails
and the twitter of birds,
nature alone
passed on the word

Her beauty does shine
and challenge the light,
the twinkle of eye
glows sapphire at night

A gown flowing free
of golden hue,
and the cord at waist
a rainbow of blues
