THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

B a c i l l u s c e r e u s

propogate
wave

the tide pool languor warmth
enriching
your ego
like a petri mirror
showing your strain

we are not
the enlist corp
checking out the macro
slide

but our zoom
brings up your tats
and stats

and the crushing mythology
tabloid roar

if only we shall
dye you in the LED
spotlight

to bring our your structure
your pore

we can post you like
a "whats up"
score
on the wild
of a college door

Only Semi-Luminescent

I am flinging plastic stars across the room
I decided we need a wish now more than ever

And so far

It’s not working.

Ach, a delicah constitution, have I
me auld bones are getting wearier
if somebody sneezes I have a cowld
its getting worser the more I get older
I can't get a dacent man
but I'm looking as hard as I can
I've got a little piece of land
so for a dowry he'd be grand
See, since I buried my first two
it's not easy to get a beau
and these day's I'm not such a pretty view
I can be a bit contrary
and my moods oft vary
but unlike my sister Mary

Envejecerse

Al envejecerse

Nunca tenía ilusiones
de una vida
más que yo la vivía
y tarde me ha venido
el tiempo de ser
más que yo era.

inutiles son los llantos
engañadoras las esperanzas
penosos los suspiros
del alma…
me enviejo.
.
pero al fin y al cabo
cuando
de este mundo
me vaya
no seré menos que
hijo de mi padre
niño de mi madre
.

Vendetta

OUT OF PLACE

I miss the sound of whippoorwills
pleading in the night for love
each one seeking his own thrills
with spring moon shining up above

And the blanket of the milky way
no longer covers me at night
washed out as if it was mid-day
city lights all shine too bright

The window only brings gas fumes
and the smell of hot asphalt
no hint of honeysuckle blooms
I guess that maybe it's my fault

BAD GIRL

When i was young i didnt feel bad
Though performing acts that were hot

Now I pretend that I want to be bad
when I know that I really am not

Its easy for me in the end to pretend, but glad
that thats not what I've got

No core of evil ,no sight to be had
Good and evil in my melting pot

Don't look at me and hope that you see a truly evil fad
Just decent and kind and not left behind with that ghastly lot

Sound of Wheels Making Crazy

The sound of wheels
in my head
drives me crazy

My tableau played out
over and over
my life lazy

For all my planning
I fuck it up
more times easily

Compartmentalise
and file away
retrieve it
slowly

savour it all
for time will be
when the wheels
drop off wearily

memories melt
into grey
nanospheres
no image sharply

And then
the ache
of the spirit
whirly-giging
click,click
back to youth

when all alone

the sun betrayed
the night wasn’t young
there were no friends
gentle of course none…

I waited for you
in hope too,
the day was lonesome
boring and annoying…
bolts were flying all around
friendly poets were asleep,
abs silence not a sound
yet I was dreaming true
were you lonely too....

alone with the blues

I grow tired, weary in fact
looking into
the heart of loneliness
I shiver and buckle
at the knees

left alone I am spinning
looking into
an abyss of despair
I am swallowed
as glass tears shatter

birds of paradise
lay dead
the sunrise refuses
to shine
the orchid declines
to grow

beauty has taken a day off
and I am again alone
