why I love Frost I love Frost!
why I love Frost?
I love Frost
for his simplicity of thought
how he volunteered to be different
after all we all have a choice to make
and that all the difference does it make
we cannot say yes and no
either way
one way we have to go ...
Frost in all his humbleness
never knew
some guys called Nobel
will select this one poem too
he has made his mark
so am I in the waiting lurch
which road should be taken
hope I will follow in his footsteps too
very few take a path afresh and new
hope some day
someone will read my message today
life's a simple play
we all pass
and just pass away,
and I am also one such passerby
may,
I that say

Hi Loved
Frost is far and away my favorite poet. He was also a pioneer in that he used often broken meter and even explored use of rhyme in free verse. Plus he kept his messages straight forward.................stan

This Frost guy seems to write a bit like I do, broken meter and even explored use of rhyme in free verse. Plus he kept his messages straight forward. Well if this is true I shall not seek him out it would be like looking in a mirror-rorrim lol was his poetry bad then young Stan ???? He may have gone to the same school as me...
Good bit of info there though, Yours Ian.T

the only meter i know of is
my electric meter
if the glass is broken
it still works
but then the meter itself does rust
so I leave it at that
least some get a frosty byte
and
my verse will be like
frosts bite....

Everyone here might well guess...
... that I don't much care for Bob. Like Whitman (though certainly not as bad) he spends too much time wandering around not saying much and saying it rather unmusically.
Give me Keats or Longfellow.
