Here Comes Autumn.

A humbling chill begins to fill the air,
as we start to say goodbye to the warmth of summer.
The dark hours of night suddenly last longer,
And the moon appears to take its stand earlier.

A new path is chosen.
The cold creeps in and the trees change colour.
We are reminded of the things that give us comfort,
as we grieve the lighter moments of the year.

I lay down on the ground and take in the annual mystery.
Gaze at the bronze-coloured jewels falling from their homes.
A natural beauty,
Proof of the season’s mercy.

A reminder of the beauty in letting go,
And that it’s okay to want something different.
Here comes change.
Here comes autumn.

How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

The poem "Here Comes Autumn" captures the essence of the changing season and the emotions associated with it. The imagery of the chill in the air, the longer nights, and the changing colors of the trees effectively convey the transition from summer to autumn. The line "A new path is chosen" suggests a sense of renewal and the acceptance of change.

The poem also explores the idea of finding comfort in the midst of change and grieving the loss of lighter moments. This theme is further emphasized in the lines "I lay down on the ground and take in the annual mystery" and "A reminder of the beauty in letting go." These lines evoke a sense of contemplation and reflection.

One suggestion for improvement would be to further develop the imagery in the poem. For example, instead of simply stating that the moon appears earlier, you could describe how it casts a soft glow on the landscape or how its reflection shimmers on a body of water. Adding more sensory details can enhance the reader's experience and make
