Lying amongst mournful mounds

I lonesomely lay
amongst the
mournful mounds
of mud and clay.
Ghastly growing
grim and grey
Inattentively
tumbling down
towards tears .
But too crushed
to crack and cry
away my
fervid flood of
selfless fears.

The City

walking straight past faceless ghosts we call strangers
the city is most intimate when it’s asleep.

in languid hours of amber lights and empty streets,
the city speaks to me in its sleep.

in flickering of old fluorescent lights
and muffled hum of air conditioner boxes
the city speaks to me in riddles
too cryptic for my burnt-out mind to unravel.

i feel the heavy kiss of her smog-laden air
caressed by the warm tropical heat
the acrid scent of civilization lingers everywhere.

Autumn Feels Like

Sweatshirts and sweatpants
Bonfires and marshmallows
A fresh array of red, yellow and orange
Crinkling beneath our feet

Crisp air at our faces
Apples in baskets
Homemade pies in ovens
Pumpkins on display

The warmth of a hearth
A family ‘round the table
Giving thanks for our fortune

In lederhosen you go out dressed
To celebrate with friends on Oktoberfest
Do the polka and the chicken dance too
Then have yourself another lager brew

Diamonds on the Water, and Boats at Low Tide

I don't know when the change came for me
It's not like a date you could mark on a calendar
With little still to prove to anyone,
the edges are worn now, smoother

The change, I think, came from living
Learning from all the mistakes
that showed my humanity how to be better
than when it first began to feel

Appreciating the lessons of hurt
in all its’ forms and incarnations
I cherish all the ribbons awarded me,
secretly displayed on my heart

Sister

to be everyone we see we wish to be
spoilt infidelity was the fragrance
of our tragic continuum century
of longing longing thee
favored face dressed in
tailored knit smiles on Tuesday’s sin
oh father are we seen
as the misery kin
ants rise on Lilies
in the teary meadow land
we shall remain oh rightfully damned
Blistering coils of copper tension make haste
tangy veins peel back their mantle
to self inject a poison of good-natured taste
shudder of the mind
with fine paper cut wrinkles

JJ

Pressley has many questions to explain
Can you love me
Julie needs this answer
To free her heart from the years of pain
Why me
my soul is chain
Julies relationship's
Consistency adds to her mind of blame
Tell me why when I look into the mirror
All I see is shame
This is a question that pressley needs to explain
Julie your beautiful more than your life of pain
I want you too believe that happiness
With me won't ever change
I promise to break that mirror of blame

RED ROSE

There's no more craze of love,
my heart ticks in displeasure,
for this thorns called red rose,
it pierced every part of my being.

My soul is indignantly wounded,
punctured and I'm now a danger,
dripping in angst of romance,
i may likely suck your blood.

Take these roses away from me,
It's disheartening, am set to kill.
love, a chief blackmailer,
in your excess sensuality.

Jack

Hey there.
I'm Jack.
Not gay Jack,
or queer Jack,
or LGBT Jack,
Just Jack.
That's fine.
And, no I don't want to fuck you
and I don't want you to fuck me!
In fact, all I want is to feel our encounter
has left me with some...
dignity.

Far distant as in Life is death

Saturn is defined
by distance from earth
farthest...

rare occurrences
are defined by Saturn...
planet assigned to death
more sadness
illness
cancer
once in a way

life is else
happiness
most of the time
births
happy birthdays many

weddings of children
flowers and ornaments
sugar pastries.......

Grief comes
after many a years
It has to
be fatal
serious illness and debt
are inevitable
