THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

It's Christmas!!

the nights were now filled by wonderful carols
and in homes and backyards, hanging were lanterns..
people searching for gifts in evening stalls..
evenings driven by the singing choirs...

theaters staging reenactment plays,
children playing on snow-filled grass..
people counting twenty-five days...
and the breeze getting colder - It's Christmas!!!

Proverbs of faith

As sweet honeycomb
Pleasant words heal the spirit
Refreshing the soul.

An old proverb re-vamped.

Starlight

STARLIGHT

For you, my love, this Christmas time,
I only have this simple rhyme.
Though you, my love, deserve much more,
(You are the one that I adore)

If all the skies were empty; black,
No moon or stars to light your track,
Then I could set some sparkling stars
To light your way where 'ere you are.

And following your paths you'd see...
That every one leads back to me.

Facsimile of the human psyche unravelled.

Finger tips etching grooves into the earth’s crust,
I’m clinging , precariously,
Frantic struggling, against the abyss.

I’m an enigma,
Descending into ambiguity.
Clutching at sanity.

Mistrust of reality,
Crushed under its gravity.
Grinding me into dust.

Cataclysmic hush,
As my world, rolls in on itself.
Leaving a husk of my former self.

Be still, be quiet,
In a holding pattern.
Inertia creeping.

I’m ineffectual ,
Off the radar.
I’m in stasis.

Subterfuge for Loyalty?

Sometimes, my love, it's hard to understand
Exactly what God wants,
What is his plan?
When we are betrayed by acts of man

Our disillusion fogs our mind on things that matter
Our confidence is shaken as it shatters
It is easy to fall prey to our perception
Of how others may judge and their reception

Happy Holiday Offends Me

you maybe politely correct
to say happy holiday
but if you can't detect
the error of your way

you may feel a back lash
because leaving out the reason
and my beliefs, you bash
trying to take over the season

you try to rename it
and to redefine
but I'll reclaim it
that which is mine

this is my time of the year
you have your own
if you think I want to hear
greetings with Christ gone

THREE TO YOU ALL DEAR FRIENDS

A Legacy of Love

Kickin' it at the "homestead"
yo-yo goin 'round,
a mesmerizin', tantalizin'
sight without a sound.

This world, it keeps on turnin'
spinning like a top;
without those revolutions
from the sky, our world would drop!

The circle of life keeps rollin'
and the cycle echos, growth,
good or bad, the life you've had
can't help but echo, both;

Love Is All I Can Share

Love Is All I Can Share

I Belong To All

I love all religions
And
Celebrate all in equal fervour
Jesus
was then truly man’s saviour

Lord Buddha
preceded him
And
Allah
and
Gurunanak
followed,

Gandhi
is enrooted

For the morrow
Some day you will come
to learn reality

Religion is a basic formality,
Love is all that is needed
To hold together this ailing humanity
And
Hopefully
by now you knows it.

Through Pains and Tears

there are times where i cannot see,
what part of your forever belongs with me
you ask me about my feelings and when i don't care,
you are just sending me a healing stare...

but the truth is i really care for you,
that when i lost you in my life, what will i do?
though sometimes i've been a fool to you....
you're so much to me that i'll never let you go..
