THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

Resistance

When its all around you, when it surrounds you.

Mouth hid, but it calls you
You wish to explore know her more ,but you ignore.
Her Faint voice calls you.
Don’t look, your fear has made you insecure .
You have got to understand,
You’re not wanted , you’re needed
But for you to take heed of the need,
You have to first bleed.
You choose to resist.

Mother earth

My mother, a giant of a woman could tower over me
But with age, change swept all over her. I saw her depreciating-
The bums that used to bulge like a football ball, emaciated inch by inch,
The breasts, once bulky lost shape, fizzled off like melting ice under scorching sun;
Big thighs reduced to bones, except sinewy ligaments I see, as she picks up buckets
The brown, lively face turned into wrinkles month after month; hair turned grey, hair by hair.
I dare not ask if my mother was ever a virgin girl; I could ask her, but difficulty to execute.

White on Blue on Metal

Reading signs is not a sanguine skill
I'm often
caught
looking for amusement
and a roundabout thrill
The white beam
results in
my
denouement

Harsh turns
strict
not to be crossed
white on blue on metal
fragments
hinder my
fulsome free-spirt

"turn right advance to nowhere"
"turn left retreat from somewhere"

A crown of thorns

What is this blood that fills my eyes?
Till blind I cannot see
a crown of thorns upon my head
That’s pressing down on me
Iron nails through shattered bones
Pinned to a cross of wood
My heart feels oh so heavy
As only a Christian’s could

A kiss on the cheek betrayal
I knew it came and then
My poor disciple as dawn rose
Denied me again and again
The trial the people Pilate
How sad as he washed his hands
And a sinner they called Barabbas
Began to make other plans

Living Tomb

I'm a living tomb
my baby has died in my womb

I have to let nature take its course
Can't bear this, what could be worse?

I'm still getting many a smile
people don't know my turmoil

My baby has died
I still haven't cried
the sadness buried inside

Being part of Mama Africa......

I see the Sun waking
up in the morning
as it makes the horizon
to glow with
warmth and life

I smell pleasant
air that is flowing
from tall, green
trees to my nose,
making my senses to
be at One with Nature

I feel texture
of the ground
with my bare legs,
as I go to hunt an
unsuspecting antelope

I dream dreams
that can come to
reality because the wild
around me
is filled with wonders
that turn wanderers
to believers in their
true Self

KopperJakket

from heel to thigh
the light cups her
bow stomach
to supine spine

I am thinking of the forest
they are coming closer
my brothers my sisters
are anxious

"Do you like the new jeans?"

like delicate flight
the words sought
the esteem in need
of support

"you are lovely in them
Gifted with good genetics"

Outside over the rooftops
and the claw of the forest
limbs a black bird hovers
in the winds hand

EXISTENTIALLY YOURS

EXISTENTIALLY YOURS

Moments of terror
suddenly
cut into me.
monsters dark and cruel
lingering
In my mind
and clinging deeper still
to this “soul” thing
of mine.

red electric
electricity blinding white
shock waves buzzing
in my head
stun my reason
still my heart
and fill me
with existential dread

Childhood

Open your bedroom window
And fly to the stars at night
Walk across the sun
And see it burning bright
Ride an enchanted unicorn
Across a sun-set beach
Then leap to a rainbow in the sky,
Just beyond your reach
Dance amongst the clouds
And sing with angels in Heaven
Then think to yourself,
What it would be like to be seven

INCRedible don't not believe

You know Ian

they discovered a teen twosome
one a gal the other a guy
and gal wearing guy’s garb
and the guy was inside gals attire...
they sent them into a fire
and lo and behold
they came out hand in hand
having exchanged their natural stand ...
the guy became a gal
then she said why I should lag behind
she had a handle in her hand
and then the padre said
I damn care who is who
as long as one is with a handle
the other without one
