THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

Found Out

I found out where I’m from
due to a response I made, the other day,
and you could see my past, bubble out of my eyes.

It even temporarily blinded my vision
until I finally realized,
that I was brought up to respond in that manner,

and I was led down a path to where I’m currently at,
and gone were my inhibitions, in the night
for it felt like springtime in my heart.

I had finally found out about myself
and about who I am, thanks to you,
and how you make me want to be a better man;

My Valentine

Valentines are tattered cards
their meaning once conveyed.
On white laced hearts with cupid's darts,
is someone's love displayed.

And hand to heart they're given up,
on one day of the year.
Then put away, re-read someday,
perhaps to draw a tear.

But mine's no heart with lace to fade,
or words just made to rhyme.
For it is real to touch and feel,
on days not Valentine.

Prayer for a Sunday

Your eyes glowing in city rain sidewalk night speak love to me.

Our romance bounces off the familiar audio
backdrop hum of traffic sounds
and downtowns.
Your kiss hunting eyes are glowing on me.

Your eyes glowing and my heart on fire, darling.

It's the cadence of the words you speak
on a Sunday done in gray rain
and you say to me
"You're beautiful".
It nestles itself in our warm sound.

LEVIATHAN

LEVIATHAN

And when from depths
so deep to the soul umknown
the sickness sudenly strikes
in the midst of life’s living
.
I begin to feel in all my senses
a vomitus bilious green
a poison limitless and unforgiving
oozing from the brain
paralyzing all endeavors.
and killing all pleasures .
And I ride Leviathan
across the burning seas
deeper still inside of the hell
in me.

hello geremia

emotional courageous and so true
we all still love you..
your words of wisdom
so fresh anew
as you slowly reach the horizon
which is far away in the distance
the dawn of light
sees another poem,
from you for us today...
many more shall and will come our way,
if you have a positive will
you'll much longer stay
and help mankind in all walks of life
in poetic armoury
be that today's
Neopoets fashionary....

armchair

smooshed gooshy in cushioning familiarity
not an edge left unrounded, soft
machinations abound

marshmellow chisels pound
dull and thudless
vainly seeking a peep hole to
hard, sharp, gritty,
full-tilt mojo boogying
soul

touch in winter

a wind roams
catching crystal thoughts
light and brittle
cold and simple

down past the beam
a light with hooded arc
the moments long and fleeting
glittering and weaving

falling from the dark above
immense and tall
down through its heights
to us down here
walking quiet and small

the houses sleeping
the unblinking window eyes
with dreams upon their sills
piled high

unspoken with bird prints
like the roads
unbroken and drifting
with the pure hour
tumbling

42

42 what a size
suppose it's the booby prize
some find them a treat
a long time since I seen my feet
buttons used to pop
now they just flop
of men I despair
their eyes focus 'there'
it's hard not to look like a tart
they cover a really big heart

Love Lost

When you look at the world as a dream
That will never come true you lean
Towards any means to ignore the
Emotional torture that becomes your order
Just to sustain the judgement passed
Guilty. Filthy how I became, refined
Silly my frame of mind
To even hope for any differences
To switch the subjects of my sentences
With serenity, ending with sincerly yours
Thanking a love for lending me your
Heart. In return, I'll do the same
Apart is where I don't want to maintain
But I'm to blame.....

This week in Britian

If everytime we ate a steak
We saw a bull upon our plate
Or everytime we ate some chicken
We saw them running, heard them squawking,
And when we ordered cod or plaice
We heard them scream, dont touch my face
Or those who will eat crocodile
Wish not to see its dying smile
Would we eat all of these creatures
If we saw their entire features?

Personally though I would not mind
If my beefburger was totally equine
