THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

In My Eye

I close my eyes and there floats across
a dream of death
I long for refreshment of limbs
stretched and rested
like a childhood cuddle

I close my mouth and there wafts above
a smell of decay
I ache for the pungent return
of savoury delicacies
to tingle on taste buds

Now all is open to me
I feel alive and see
all in my eye
It burns with a knowing rage
and I taste contempt
A bitterness
too bleak to bite.

Smiley Faces--

SMILELY FACES
I send my thoughts
in smiley-faces
hearts and roses
and butterfly wings.
you see
my voice doesn’t sing
the way it did before
and the words don’t come
so easily

My art has lost its soul
I don’t see myself
anymore

Rob Another Score or Store...

Rob Another Score or Store…

In dalliance park they make the deal,
impure white powder for stolen cash.
They’re just part of a revolving wheel,
this shit happens when you're only trash.

Into a needle then a wanton blue vein,
charging through to hearts and minds.
In seconds he’s laughing at his pain,
a dead man with simplicity unwinds.

A score to settle or a score to make,
dealers soon start to rule the streets.
Men we call evil always on the take,
puppet master's careful who he meets.

Aftermath

deep pool
dark eye half opened by the moon

you will drown
when you step forward

wind snickers through bones of winter trees
skulls’ harp

now - complete your business
no forgiveness

And an Ha'penny Coin

I took a stroll the other day,
and even though the day was grey
I spied children playing in the sun,
an elderly couple holding hands,

and an ha'penny coin that had not yet, begun to lose it’s lustre.
So, I put the ha'penny coin in my pocket.

I continued walking forward into darkdom

unbeknownsto & inbetween the shadows

apparently, just for added effect;

tithe

from right
across
to the left

the surf rolls
pebbles
shells
a million sighs

The Lump In My Throat

Tonight for the first time I told them.
I don't know if they believed me.
They were shocked.
"No way!"
"He's such a nice guy"
"I guess you just can't trust anyone"
Maybe I shouldn't have told them.
Maybe it was my fault.
All I remember is his hands
Too many hands
All happening so fast
I feel sick

Ink to write poetry and One Extra for Gee

The ink is on its way,
Black velvet of empty space.
That gives you so much.
Its drops shall become as figures,
On a white expanse that tell stories,
For us all, it will stand out, on white virgin pages.
There you will mingle with the kings of poetic forms,
Words formed as a stark blitz against the snow.

wow oldie goldie

oldie goldie
well nice,
I too saw
a lovely oldie couple

I was traveling in a New York bound bus
and the highway had no crossing,
yet, across the opposite road,
I saw an elderly couple,
who could hardly walk …

the man moved inch by inch,
his woman did not flinch,
all bus drivers slowed down
in obeisance..

then another set,
I saw an old lady
who saw her hubby
fumbling with a toast,
he could no longer butter…

Point Omega

Point Omega
(to Don Delillo)

decay sees through scaley eyes
glassine atoms cracking
flinging electrons
rapid fireflies colliding.....sparks

eternal experiment has failed again
its' designs fall to the will
of the pack
gold verticle eyes aiming the gene of destruction

consciousness
spun ancient and thin, dreams of a collapsing universe
it pleads for rest out of time
implores to throw off matter
once again

to become

stones upon a molten field
