THE WRATHFUL SEA

Her salted bludgeoning maw
swallowed vessels and galleys
with its green saline gullet of
ulcers
barnacles, and a throat full of oily
spots of acne sticky limpets

Treasures guarded by a circle
of sharks in an ocean restaurant
pinching crabs,
and swaying seaweed keeping naval
secrets.

A wave of wrathfulness, tossing
clubbing, floating ships, drowning
them into the abyss.
stripping seamen Into
skeletons with silent screams.

Supported by a howling killer
of a storm . Ripping, blowing holes
into arthritis wooden decks into oblivion
into the coldest dark depths.

Grandiose Majestic Mountain

There stood a majestic
Craggy face with razor blade
Edges of a monstrous
time honoured mountain

Turning its rocky nose up
at anything below him, robust
Jagged and risky, high stabbing
armour with White shark tip
Cut throated fins.

Bald rugged with a silent manner
cold stone as white as marshmallow
steep and strong, bold and old
broad frosted shoulders

With powdered freckles and a storm grey
complexion it wore a white necklace
and a frosted crown, made
by heaven.

AUTUMN'S CUSP

Mid October a cool day
with a northern cooling breeze.
All hints of summer gone away.
The few green leaves are just a tease.

Tomorrow will bring the first frost
so this day finds me 'neath the trees
absorbing warmth before its lost
and limbering up titanium knees.

For I'm not what I once was.
Time has seen that I am not,
So I sit on a stump to take a pause
and breathe autumn's scent which I'd forgot.

Then turn my face up to the sky
as cool front winds begin to blow.
I watch the clouds as they race by.
They leave like friends I used to know.

My eyes water from sun's glare
so I drop my head down to my chest
letting my chin settle there
while I count the ways that I am blessed.

I'm blessed with our cabin in the trees
I'm blessed with seeing one more fall.
I'm blessed with grandchildren to tease.
I'm blessed with being here at all.

I watch a squirrel climb to its nest
for now the sun is getting low
so ere' it reaches ridge's crest
I arise then turn and go.

 Cage of cards

 Chaotically clustered
cage of
cards covering
all
cynically silent
sides of life
plainly plastered
before my
persistently passing
presence of
the present day.
Thoughtlessly thrashing
out the leisurely
overlapping lanes
of possibilities
prancing through
the pressuring palms
of probability.
With a single stern stomp
taking back the cross
mask of control.
There steadily
stumbled down
the obliquely built
walls of ambiguity
freely falling at
my frivolously
fleeting feet.
Vigorously revealing
the vaguely vapid
valley of victorious
vultures who
persistently preys
upon the weak
minded ones
who decisively numb
themselves within naivety .
But still
I walk forth
ahead through
the foreboding facade
of fear
lying before me.

Echoes

Once there was a man
Who wrote beautiful music
He wrote the music because he was sad
He was sad because he was all alone

But he was noticed for his music
He ended up being loved for it
And in being loved
He lost his sadness
And his music soon after

Legal eagle

Yesterday I stood in court
Arguing my reality
The Judge he was a decent bloke
The lawyer disassembled me

My case reversed I duly fled
Hoping no return
Another date lodged in my head
On which the point could turn

Will I make a tidy sum?
Will I be the winner?
Or end up kicked out on me bum
Not thousand dollars richer?

The law you see is not too just
The case will turn on law
They want proof, that's all they ask
Not what he said or saw

So, how was school today?

slouching hard
back row foolin'
tiltin' the rockin' edge

a clock head
set to scoot
the droning monotone
alone
and the misery in silent
thirty squirms

thirsting for fun

only

ok

avuncular stringent

down along the motorcar
the fender is wretched
petrol bright is strolling
the glass like innocent
eyes scattered
greasy with rain

flame emollient growing
with interest

Through the pallid slender
trees the river churns steadfast
and slow

sluggish taste of blood upon
the swollen lip
and a jaunty burning in the
right hip

stand like twins
the shadows stretching
the wind receiving
dark reception

oval eyed and wide
as the night

life's twists

life's twists
all life through
struggle is nothing new
we have our own share..

some are born with golden spoons
many on blades of grass
quite a few when the moon is shy
and about to die …

while few in the glory of sun bask
we pretend we wear
an invisible mask,
to hide our shattered bones within us

most see the darkness of life,
others only enjoy spice
they are the optimists of the day

Wanton

Hot sexual energy

seeping through my pores

sashaying wantonly

I kneel on all fours

He grabs my buttocks

and enters fast

a hard rough fuck

fulfills my lust

Withdrawing slowly

he slaps my bum

Oh, what he does to me

I, once again, come

SELECTIVE MEMORY

I used to have much better sight
take that fly two blocks away
lit on a house painted off-white
can't tell if eyes are green or gray

My hearing ain't what it once was
I still hear that train in the next town
not hearing passengers gives pause
leading to my worried frown

And old legs are almost worn out
just dragging two deer from the woods
that last mile almost makes me shout
late at night this makes me brood

Words

What do you want of me ?
You that seem to be of endless chatter
Of words that I should use
Where do I go after a think,
What do you want me to say?
The pit of used words
Is a desolate place
Without a song
To string them together
Let’s just have a go
The spring is due tomorrow,
When I shall sing as the lark
then smile some sunshine on your dull world.

Calliope's Song

CALLIOPE’S SONG

Rubies and sapphires
emeralds and gold
words like diamonds
colors
dancing in the sun
visions that shatter
images that stun.

But rhinestones and sequens shine
just as bright
and angels and demons
beat the same drum
to a Music heard by none..

S L U I C E

aspirations
burn like a flame
You want serious cred
but your hearts full
of blame

Im a cat on the edge
V-for Verve in my name
you come back with
your claws
cause you style a
game

morning glory
head hunter
fishing stories
wanna bore me

(but I wait all day
for your voice
un resined baby
Im your bow on
a fresh mint string
so draw
me
in
and make this
hurt sing!!!!!)

Enedentian Epic: Canto VII

VII
Beyond the circle of the sky
above the crown of mountain high,
beyond the myriad, sailing lights
in Felabrine's celestial height,
a distant arc, there glowing faint            5
binds Moriver in its restraint.
It's name is sung in many songs
and hymns are raised that it may long
endure the blight upon its side
where dark, consumming creatures hide        10
on Moriver's bejewelled rim.
There in the east, there, fell and grim
where evil first took root upon,
remains the touch of Ubelon.
