I have observed
at times use words
normally unheard
to leave readers
in the vast nightly wilderness' lurch
and
force them to search
Google
meaning thereof of words
simply to show off
most of the time

some simple examples are
I have come across

petrichor,fecundity,petulant,stoic poignant etc etc etc................. YOU ADD ON PLEASE
and so on
at times ''irrelevantly'' placed

Okay poets, it has been two years (yes, two years) since last this workshop was held. It is time to broach the subject once again.
We have long time poets who need to be refreshed in the concepts and new poets who have little or no understanding of what the workshop will offer.
I have placed the workshop in the Olympic Pool because I want it to be taken seriously. This is not play time, it is hard work for some of us. However, do not let that scare you off. This is BASIC work in the concept of meter. From the ground floor in other words.

The flickering light
reconsidered its plight
it returned
as many switched off their lights
and
voltage pulled up
by mosquitoes
by the dozen
floating about

at times I feel
I am living in a zoo
insects early morning galore
in the drawing room
front balcony door

and

mosquitoes singing long nights
as if I am
no more
they now also know
I snore

It's Spring time again

We must know all fundamentals of poetry
but never follow them
400 years ago they had all the time
from early darkness to twilight of dawn
they scratched for syllables all along
so that they could sleep over well

today the world is so different
computer guys have created poetry evaluators
and
now I overheard last night
a poetry systemised computer curve is coming

what will poets then do
just sleep

I wonder if you still remember me
loved or as lovedly....

you tried your best
to sharpen my mind
but in the meantime
I became partially blind
and
now nature's aged reward
I have lost my ears
and
deaf as I am
can't hear

So despite your efforts
to sharpen me
Snow man I missed thee

With a newer heart
fresh poetry shall be your reward
for two decades at the very least
hopefully!!!
