I dig graves
with pick and shovel
and fits of deranged imagination

from sun-up
every day
'til darkness hovers my shoulders

then, spooked
I scoot
quick as a chicken in the thistles

my invented stories
(I don't whistle)
scare me stupid and spry

my knack for the macbre
may be unmatched

I'm a really creepy guy

Hello Neo Poets,

I would like to announce that the Olympic Pool is now enrolling participants
we will begin
20JUNE 2011 and run for 14days 04JULY
I realize this runs into the July4th weekend for those stateside, but I will keep the pool open for others

take you away from death's door
you keep bringing me to

crying in the distance

I walkabout
the desert of my denial,
your heart beating inside mine,

if you leave,
I'll never come back.

you ramble with his poetry
book after book
crying with Orbison and Lang
the touch that caressed
you deep in the psyche of
your human jungle

you its prey,

dirty dishes, half-smoked
cigarettes, wine-stained sheets,
the tenderness
of a poem,
escaping...

don't bother me just now,
I'm not finished reading
my epitaph.
