Keep Love's Candle Burning

Someone has left you there all alone
doesn’t even bother to pick up the phone.
No more cosy evenings in any more
and no one to welcome you at your door.
But you can find a way to get through
so don’t let love’s candle burn out on you.

It’s hard to face the future with a broken heart
but you’ll move on when you’re ready to start.
Life will slowly get better, as time goes by
and you can get through this, you just have to try
You can find love again, you know that it’s true
so don’t let love’s candle burn out on you.

Liquefy

Breathe and liquefy,
lay aside your pain.
Beauty emerges.

lethargy, inertia, apathy
Blood red vision.
Inhale.

The world vibrates.
Thoughts throb and agitate.
Creativity is my addiction.

inhale and the old world goes away.

FADED BLUE JEANS (UNION JACK MAIDEN)

FADED BLUE JEANS (UNION JACK MAIDEN)

Union Jack Maiden,
Have your jeans now started fadin',
Are they fadin'?
Colors and hues:
Are they still the same old blues-
Are those jadin'?
Does your heart feel just the same-
Are we playin' the same game-
Are we playin'?

flight of a fledgling

I see myself as water
Clear and formless.
truly, more like the earth
Trampled an down trodden
With the yoke of past miseries

listening intently
To find my way through
To hear the peaceful quiet
Of the vast universe
But all that is heard is the lingering past

having traversed
Through the pits of desperations
The darkness in the emptiness
Which blinds me
To what is my reality

MONO SPLICE

stub of dream
auxilliary sub beat
flashs of bright true image
I can hear the creak
like light on that shutter blade
as it flicks the scene

this drone of now
submersed in fluid
ease
the face says
this
the body says there

and the soul hurls
against the wretched
flight in exstacy
this burning wish
flaring like a strobe

and all dark angles
jutting
sharp as a blade
on velvet

I May Be Ordinary

But I send, my congrats too.
All here seem to know you,
Perhaps soon I will too.

As an ordinary poet,
May I suggest?
Here there is so much talent.
If you can select some poems
Good ones
And
Plant a Neopoet’s Poem Edition
And publish it,
Perhaps many will buy
And
Earnings shall go sky high.

EMPTY WINTER

Winter
season of death
short rations
scarcity
empty silent woods
scant of even sunlight

Lest one stops
sits still
and listens
then......

A silent crow flies in clear sky
with lightly whispering wings
the winds in pine tree quietly sighs
a far distant church bell rings

A rustling in the leaves betrays
a nearby scuttling chipmunk
among the duff of browns and grays
air currents carry whiff of skunk

Pillow Note # 3

Sweetheart
I know you are feeling Blue
so I wrote this note on Pink
to make you blush so Beau
like "Peaches"
my nick for You...

NEW ZEALAND MINING DISASTER

NEW ZEALAND MINE DISASTER

Watching TV in sad silence, saw the tragedy unfold,
Those Kiwi miners never had a chance.
"Health and Safety Regulations" had all their deaths foretold,
Made their "rescuers" stand useless, wringing hands.

"It's too dangerous!" they bleated, "Can't send our men in there!"
So the rescue teams were not allowed to try.
In my early years in coalmines, we were always made aware
In disasters no one's ever left to die.

Do you see me?

What does time mean to me,
Or memories that are left behind.
They are the two points in my life
That separate what I knew then
and what I know now.

Have things changed since
My memories waned,
it has only been the seasons
That have traveled on winds
Of a passing rain.

The madness, of my youth
That brought the sweetness
Of a gentle embrace,
Tender lips and words I can’t
Forget.
