Regi Taylor has a more than 30 year background in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Publishing, Media Relations, Web Development and Multi-Media Production.
He has hands-on experience with consumer publication titles such as Consumer Reports, Black Enterprise, Women’s Wear Daily, U.S. News & World Report, and Penthouse.
Regi is a licensed broadcaster who has written radio advertising copy and jingles, and collaborated on New York City-based media campaigns for Wilfred American Educational Corporation, Supermarkets General Corp., AT&T Corp., The Montel Williams Show, and the New York Knicks.
He has composed press releases published, in whole or in part, in the Baltimore Business Journal, Newark (NJ) Star Ledger, Associated Press, ABC News, and the U.S. Congressional Record.
Regi has written and placed Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) with major radio stations in the New York City/Northern New Jersey media market as part of a wide-ranging community anti-violence campaign.
The married father of four young adult children has achieved notable artistic accomplishments over his lifetime as a graphic artist, designer, sculptor, writer and poet.
Choosing to pursue an unconventional artistic path, Regi's art has been associated more with social commentary than art for art's sake.
In the 80's, as member of the board of directors of the East Orange (NJ) Community Development Corporation, Regi designed and promoted the 'City With Appeal' logo to spearhead local redevelopment initiatives.
He was recognized in the 90's with citations in the U.S Congressional Record for promoting racial harmony in New York City with his GOLDEN OpportUNITY FOR UNITY insignia.
More recently Regi went before the Baltimore Public Art Commission to petition for his BMORE Community Sculpture as a possible permanent outdoor display of local civic pride.
In the ensuing years Regi Taylor has become a published poet, an art entrepreneur, and a creative writer of advertising and public relations copy and song lyrics.
He was mentored for many years by the late Stanley Bleifeld, world renowned sculptor and former president of the National Sculpture Society in New York City, whose influence has profoundly influenced Regi's Heart & Art Collection Wearable Artifacts Ensemble (https://www.thumbtack.com/profile/services/v2BQbGu2ZcqaGw/).
