I live in a relatively small town in CA called Tehachapi. It is in the mountains between two deserts and about an hour and a half from LA. One of my favorite poets is Theodore Roethke, and his lovely poem, "I Knew A Woman". I want to become lyrical and hear more of the music of language in my poetry. I really enjoy reading the works of others and hearing their own unique voice. Love a good metaphor.
