I'm scared, is all
to be with anyone
I can never trust another man
the same again

I'm scared, is all
to love a man
'Cause hurt is all
a man has ever given me

I'm scared, is all
to trust someone
To look you in the eye
and tell the truth of my life

I'm scared, is all
and you may wonder why
But I'm scared
I'm not ready for you to know

I'm scared, is all
and you may not understand
But for me this is real
I'll never be the same again

I'm scared, is all
I have ever been
I'm weary and broken
I'm truly hurting

I'm scared is all I ever am. That's it, that's all..scared.

Thanks a bunch for the comment, though I'm not too sure about what you are saying. I feel that you are saying you are waiting for the time when my past is behind me and I can move on and write about more, well my friend, I'm trying, and that's why I write for the most part. It's a healing process and this is part of my healing. I am truly trying to heal myself through my poetry. Thanks ! Dani

it's hard to trust...but it's necessary

Liked the flow & structure of this...and the theme...yeah, it's hard to trust again when your heart's been smashed....but it does heal and you have to give the new love a chance to grow. Ells x

Poetry-as-a healing art.

Poetry-as-a *healing art*. Indeed. With each heart that is healing, the world is so healed from the cycle of suffering. To know there's someone else just like you, feeling exactly like you do is a quantum leap for the countless who feel the same way but don't know how to express it. Very good poem in every sense of the word *good*. I don't believe any one could ever feel the EXACT way anyone else does, but I know what you mean and yes, we can relate very well with others and knowing that other people feel the same, makes me hurt inside though. oh well.. life goes on. Thank you very much! (: Danielle

To walk in another's shoe's

Understanding can be difficult to find and you know, Dani, trust is a secret that never comes home. The feeling in your poem can kill a spirit and I think it needs to find a friend just like it.. you write about an enemy we all have in common - fear, and straight from its heart..
