New Poets and Fun Poets and Serious stuff

As we run Four Workshops here at most times that means about 40 poets maximum are being trained and they are struggling;-

As our new members come in can they be put on an introduction site similar to the undiscovered place, where they can be directed to a suitable workshop when available.

Mind you this would be a change to the "greet process" and would need at least a couple of knowledgeable poets to sort,
Here they would direct the new poets to a suitable workshop.
As most of the workshops are full then a holding Pen/Quill could be arranged, some of our better learned poets seem to dominate the workshops where others with less experience would be better off.
I read the list of poets in the workshop places sometimes and think well who is going to be the teacher here????????
This would be the hardest part to achieve as we are limited by active members..
Maybe those learned poets in the workshops could branch out and run their own according to their expertise..EG:- Wesley could run the epic's and others take their roles from what they know.
There could be a couple of Masters, to just look over the whole thing and through PM, give advise to Pupil or Teacher alike, we have members of this quality so why not use them..

Maybe the heading of for "reading only" could be used as an extra part of Neopoet..
The main stream can be utilised better if there is a separate place as the undiscovered poems.
For poets that just need to write for fun, I know you are going to say Neopoet is for learning, well if I can read more poetry then I will learn. and that the workshops are full most times ???
These submissions could be labelled by the poet themselves as to their purpose. another piece of "Workshop or not" to annotate the poem..
Mind you, then I can put some more of my works on here lol

Have a great poetic life out there,Yours Ian.T

"Neopoet is for learning" Well I can go along with that but there is a Lot of learning here which takes place outside the shops. In my opinion Nobody should be directed to a workshop. But all who want into one should be given the opportunity. I kinda like the idea of different shop leaders concentrating on teaching shops in their strong points. Now most do this on their own. I, for example, could not see myself running a shop on free verse at this time. Now the "Master" poet might work out well but that's pretty much what the shop director does already. But I think that having only one director could easily lead to burn-out.Perhaps having one or two "sub-directors" would be a good way to allow whoever is director at a given time a chance to have some time off when they feel overburdened........stan

Only poets that need to work at their own style and form of poetry I should have said told about the various workshops their participation would be up to them but O think you will find that most workshops are full..
A lot of them are full with very qualified poets that could teach other subjects or forms..
Great to have some feedback, thank you I was beginning to think I had my invisibility cloak on lol, what with all the comments on my writing I just can't keep up , Yours Ian.T
