A Soldiers Delight

If only someone
jumped like this
on to me
I would for all my life
have remained straight
standing
as I do always

come someone
make me brave
standing through life's midway

Now I stand only
half way
let me shoulder
your weight and prove
to be brave
as a soldiers shoulders

may come half way
I will run towards
your pathway
can you help me
to thy soul save!

I can feel the bravery and the underlying fear that all soldiers must feel. The need to come home, and the home is always where the heart is. Very moving poem. Buddha...
