When a child Gave me Advice (Words That Count)

Most Children have hearts that are pure
Thoughts that are not surrounded by
Half held truths
When they offer their advice we really should think
About what they are saying
Because they're seeing what is, not what is expected
Not words we want to hear but
Words that reflect what they feel
Without fear, without compulsion
They speak what they feel
From their limited thoughts
Without regard to those that hear
They answer quickly
With instant thoughts aimed at helping
Friends and family

Example: "When a Child Gave me Advice" [They Used Words That Count]. This is the way we have done it from inception of the Challenges. Yes, I agree, children do have that guilelessness that sometimes puts adults in embarrassing positions. BTW
Your title has a typo!

I would change the first line to read:

(Most) children have hearts that are pure

in childhood I had a sister whose heart was not...she is a sociopath.

Your poem provide a spectacular perspective about children’s way of thinking. They speak from their mind. And we need to be more considerate of their needs. Often time we overlook their thought of mind and neglecting their feeling.
Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for your comments. I often think that what children say provides us with a different “free” point of view
